I was at this performance. Coming from an NSU Spartan Legion Alum; Many of us were in tears because we knew once the world got a glimpse of what our program was about and what we could do that it would be a game-changer. Our style was different from any other HBCU that performed that night and our sound was unmatched. Not even the Mighty Pride of Bethune Cookman as large as they were could match the intensity in which our ensemble performed that evening. 2008, in my opinion, we weren't as good as our debut but we were better than all the rest. Let's see what happens when we return. BEHOLD!
I was the trombone Horny Horn Section Leader for both our NSU hondas lol I was looking for clips lol but cant really find one solid one where we planted and opened up (where the video stops) It was the best part of the drill lol The Crowd Was all on their feet I was so happy!!!
OMGOSH They were AMAZING! THE BEST band in the HBCU by far. Their sound, arrangements, uniqueness... overall showmanship is superb and gave me goosebumps.
Sounded so so good! I was sitting in the second deck on the 50. And I just can't believe they sounded so good. It was my first time seeing or hearing NSU! They were CLEARLY the best band of the night. They were in a league of their own. Keep up the good work. Marching technique is SUPERB as well. Basically, just good all-around!
I had the privledge of seeing these guys play today during halftime of the Norolk St @ Rutgers football game. They were amazing, and got a standing ovation! This video is pretty good, but I must say they're much better live.
omg...i was there...it was the best! but what was even better, was the look on Alabama States faces after the legion got off the field......they just knew they couldn't top that!!!
I will be @ NSU next year...LOL...already accepted with honors...but yeah...that trumpet run at 02:12 was so on point and beautiful...screaming @ its best!
damn yall niggas let yall nuts hang in this performance and its well deserved becuz yall went out dere and did yall damn thang much respect Mr. Fantastic
