Born a Christian...throughout life I never really bothered with religion....now I have been going church at times...read the Bible yet still I feel in complete ...I listened to mufti and so many other scholars and I found my peace in Islam...yet still so torn between religion. But I do find comfort in the ways of Islam.
Islam is truth. May Allah help you on your journey
As-salamu alaikum.
I have had similar struggles, and I still have some of it. I took my Shahadah last summer (Alhamdulillah!), after years of reading about religions, and needing peace after many difficulties. It has been a long path to peace (Islam). I won't write it all here, but I feel blessed that Allah has chosen to guide me. :)
After I had left Christianity, I happened to find a great pen pal who is a revert to Islam as well, and now has become a teacher of Islam (to me also). My pen pal also had difficulties reverting, because of the social surroundings in the Western world. I also have to hide my faith for the most part in my area. I still have some fond memories from my days in Christianity, but also a lot of memories I wish not to remember. I ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to guide me every day.
May Allah swt guide you too and reward all your efforts. I'm sure things will fall into place. Salaam.

I am very happy to hear your story thanks sister, you have done the right choice may Allah protect you against the evil eye and bring you too much happiness inshallah.
I would like you to just ask Allah to show you the path and bring you closer to Him and He will. I, myself as a Muslim ask this all the time, since consistency is key and I myself fall short some days. But I wish I can make you feel what I feel ever since I started to pray my 5 times. It is soulfully refreshing and satisfying. I can also understand that you might have fears of what family will say. I can assure you that Allah will make it easier for you. Have patience and keep on learning about Islam. Ask questions openly, any questions. Look into more than one resource. Remember, we respect Christianity and respect bible (the original version ofc) as it is a holy book but of course it needed to be updated because it has been worshipping a human who we truly respect. You can find out more about Jesus and Mary, Surah Mayam in our Quran shares more details about her. Nothing major but I hope you continue to read more on Islam and perhaps sooner or later, you'll feel more complete. I hope the best for you, I'm happy that you are listening to these scholars, its holistically for everyone no matter what religion, it all helps us which is moreso important. Peace be upon you :)

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself."

Everytime I watched the video of mufti it gives me a chance to learn something about Quran and it makes me feel comfortable when anxiety attack of me. Alhamdulillah ♥️ inshaAllah more ibadah and sabr always.

I am a Muslim, I recently followed mufti Menk and after watching various videos. The amount of things he said was eye opening to me. Especially this video about friends, which I have watched various times. It moved me. Also reminding me that Allah comes first. And I watched because I wanted to be guided to the correct path.

I was born with a Christian Faith, sorround with devoted Christain family and community
When i was in my Primary years we have a neighbor who happenens to be an Iglesia Ni Cristo so sometimes me and my siblings go with them when they go to church
also i have an Aunt who is a LDS or Mormons and i also sometimes go with her
When i was in High School i still used to go with my Grandma when she go to church ...from that time i started to have confusion & questions of faith
So when i was also on my College i converted into LDS ,im a Mormons and even supposed to be a missionary,
but didn't have the chance to pursue as a Missionary
Then Alhamdulillah i discover Islam in my 20's its a long process before i converted into Islam it almost takes 7 yrs. approx. searching for the truth..its a journey for me as i started into scratches before i convert,
i convert on my 30's when i feel its the right time
i lose some and i gain some
in my family im the only Muslim ❤️
But Alhamdulillah i never regret it ❤️🤲

You remind me of Almighty Allah
Narrated 'Aisha (the mother of the faithful believers): The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "I do not know how to read." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists), created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous." (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while.

Indeed true friendship is built on true love for Allah. So we should seek friends whose influence is going to bring us closer to Allah and seek His pleasure. Allah says, "And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect."
