Oops! We were so tired at the end of the night that we kept saying "bank robbers." There are no bank robbers at Silver Dollar City! Repeat after me, John: Train robbers. Train robbers. Train robbers.
Dad and I want the old one with the angels back since we've got old-fashioned tastes when it comes to Christmas decor and lights. I still look the old one up periodically since I don't get to watch it live and I cry every time. We saw it every year till we moved (2006) and were watching it when we got the news of Grandma's death (it was playing her favorite Christmas song and she loved angels). I kind of hoped that if I ever got married my husband would propose during the light show.
Those are some beautiful memories! I understand about liking the old fashioned tree. It did seem to fit better with the theme of the City, but the new one is pretty cool, too.
The one thing I would not mind seeing them doing for Halloween for October festival in Silverdollar city maybe a haunted house or locked Rome or a play in their theater like The Headless Horseman Of sleepy hollow by Washington Irving
Silver dollar city and Branson is our favorite place at Christmas. My daughters said they didn’t want anything for Christmas except a trip to Sliver dollar city, so it’s their present the weekend before Christmas. It’s more than worth the 8 hour drive.
Were you on Hannahs ice cream? Can anyone be up there? How cool... we'll be there 1st week of December! It makes our christmas to see the lights and Dickens Christmas Carol! I'm with you John how they incorporate a Christian message in the story with the altar boy makes the story really show the heart of SDC.
Hey Amy, Where did you get your cute coat from? See 1:15 ~ I love it and would like to find one similiar to that. Thanks for all you guys' vids. Love it! :)
We actually love most of the food there! But, everyone has different tastes. We had pizza at Crossroads today. The skillets are amazing too. The Mine restaurant is one of our favorites.

is that open every day and parade?
They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. I believe the parade happens twice a day, weather permitting.
You two are so fun! Love your adventures. The lights are so beautiful. And I am dying for a gingerbread cookie now.
Thanks! The cookie was so good!
