Dear Jyoti Sorry you had this issue. I am Nisha , neuroscientist in USA. I recently had the acid reflex issue . Don’t worry it is totally curable and reversible. And don’t worry if it happened once in a while not cause any serious issue. What is acid reflex : Our gut ( small and large intestine have gut mucosal lining which produce acid to to digest food. But with food which tear the gut lining leads to decrease in acid secretion. And when we have less acid secretion it does not close the valve between stomach and esophagus , because you need to have optimum acid production in the stomach to close the valve in oesophagus. And when acid secretion is low in stomach due to gut tearing it leads to low acid secretion and this valve between the stomach and oesophagus for not get close and acid move backward toward oesophagus and that’s why you feel heart burn and all the consequences. Cause of acid reflex : there can be various causes. But main causes : Untimely foos habits , no Dr sip line in sleep , since gut and body heals in sleep. Irregular food habits , preserved , packed food items, overeating. Fats food and cold drinks. Anything that has preservatives. In case of you are allergies to something . Definitely avoids coffee tea specially in the midnight and never should drink restaurants any type because they definitely add preservatives syrups. I can see you guys eat too much outside. Avoid that because it will create problem in future. Solution: Our body has natural mechanism of healing. No matter what’s inside the body. Always try heal body issue with healthy lifestyle and healthy thinking. So as I explained , your problem is due to damage in gut lining which is very common todays lifestyle. But the good news is gut heal like in 3-4 weeks but this also doesn’t mean that we can start unhealthy again. Try food which is rich in probiotics and fiber like curd ( best food) but again strictly avoid flavored curd as these have preservatives. Normal curd is fine . Try fermented foods like idali and dosa with curd. Also avoid too spicy. Sauces/ chutneys and mayonnaise are Enemy to gut. Eat home cooked and halka khana initially. Aur agar future ne aisa ho , drink garam Pani with salt in it and vomit it. In Ayurveda it is called vaman prakriya, it give instant relief. Also for gastric pain use mint leaves / ajwain and ginger chew it and drink and glass of water daily morning time , it will eventually vanish gastrititis. Also always remember our body give us indications , discomfort always listen to your body response/signals and go for healing with diet sleep. Health Tip : Gym has effect of outer body more like muscles and body shaps. But for visceral organs pranayam is effective , it health internal organs by increasing blood circulation which make new cells and start the healing . Wish you good luck. I also suffer from the same issue 2 weeks ago...... i am also in Canada.... mere pass health card bhi nhi tha to maine.....PATANJLI store se PUDIN HARA or ek aur churan laya......uss se bhut relief mila app bhi try kar skte hai...... vaha pe certified doctors bhi hote hai......and its very cheap....apko din me 2 or 3 times drink krna hai garm pani ke sath.......and try to drink fluids and eat fresh food items......

Thanks for such a detailed description… I also suffer from this issue… Although you have covered almost everything relating to acid reflux, there are a few more which my doctor told me which I would like to add… 1) Eating at your usual timings. This is because our body secretes acid at the time we normally eat . So when we skip any meal or we don’t eat timely, that acid is secreted anyway which creates problems. 2) after every meal walk at least 1000 steps to help in digestion of food. 3) Eat only 80%of your hunger… which will make your stomach feel light 4) Most importantly sleep on your left side… This will definitely reduce acid reflux. These tips have really helped me a lot n my acid attacks have also reduced… Be very careful of what you eat and take enough sleep … All the best n stay healthy…

I feel your pain Jyotika, I also have acid reflux issue to an extent where I have spent nights sitting up. So I am TRYING to make healthy choices. Try to avoid eating late as well as spicy or masala food. Avoid drinking water and eating at least 2-3 hours before bedtime. Try Sleeping on your back. If you at late night, then take tums (tums with gas relief is better) or any antacid so that night is bearable. Take probiotics/yogurt. when you get back to India, get H.pylori test as well if you have gas and bloating issues. Good sleep is important, allows for good digestion. Maybe you want to discuss with your doctor for a short term PPI (proton pump inhibitors) course like omeprazole. Just a suggestion, please discuss with your doctor. Feel better

Hey Naina! I have the same problem. Like exactly same problem. I always feel better after having ENO as ENO is a anta-acid. U can also try it. It gives me an instant relief. Rest u can have gas resitant medicine later. This is my experience. You can consult your doctor as well.

So I always used dis trick ship hot water , walk for 10-15min /have orange hajmola , black thumbs up (cold drink is not good for health bt dis one my last option coz f soda & ajwain d drink will reales gas will get Burp so we can feel relax) and try to avoid milk tea you can have black tea/green tea. Acidity se jab bhi ye problem hoo toh try ki vomiting 🤮 kr sakoo or fenal seed after vomiting consume krne se ye badiya ho jata hai otherwise jaise headache + khane ka Maan nhi Krna ye sab hota hai and also use specific poses for acidity management.

Hello, my mother has had the same issue for over 10 years now. Khaane ka parhez is the most difficult thing to stick to. You will have to identify your triggers and when possible see a doctor for endoscopy to avoid delaying diagnosis of something like peptic ulcer. Hope you feel better soon :)
Jyotika as fellow age group person, I would like to insist you on following proper home food and avoid junk as much as possible. I see usually you guys eat at home only, but still try to keep yourself healthy, only then you would be able to help Rohini di. There are a lot of asanas and stick to healthy diet and follow a routine. Don't edit vlogs at night and take a good care of yourself, I know this condition gets really bad. Maybe a too much gyan but as a well wisher wanted to convey. Take care :)
Jyotika, may be aapne jo bhindi khaayi hai usme adrak na daala ho kyuki bhindi se ho sakti hai, meri ek relative ne bina adrak ke khaa li thi raat mein bhindi unko bhi acidity ho gyi thi bahot zyada. Also aapne mirch vaali sabzi khaayi, mai to hari mirch bilkul nahi khaati. Aap hing, zeera aur adrak ka tadka laga kar khaao dal aur sabzi jo bhi jahan par bhi jo suited ho inme se.
I live in UK and cannot agree more that in the west, the healthcare system is absolutely nothing as compared to Indian health care system. Especially UK, its in a complete mess. I liked you raised the point of medical tourism and it happens till date.. in fact we had to do it recently, go back to India for medical help and come back. Anyway, hope you guys have travel insurance while you are in Canada, just in case needed. Hope Naina feels better soon ❤❤

Hello Jyotika and Rajat! Good to know that you are feeling good. One piece of advice: maybe you already have it but whenever you travel abroad, do get travel insurance. It's not gonna cost much but god forbid if you get sick, the medical expenses can be huge. I live in Toronto from last 6 years. Whenever our parents visit us, we make sure they have travel insurance. 😊

Dear Naina beta, i have same issues- TRY 1 SPOON HING IN 2 SPOON WATER. USKA GAS PE GARAM KAR LO. and rub near ur Navel for instant relief. Or try 1 pressure point which is above Shoulders (it will release GAS ) and sit Straight. Also, gun guna pani and ajwain and pinch of salt(take it). I know certain food which gives this trouble. So try to avoid it (Bhindi, Gobhi Leafy Urad Dal types too in night). Take care , Sher bacha hain theek hojaoge ❤❤ Also, get your stomach/ whole abdomen ultrasound done (check any STONE issues)..

Saag mein spinach nhi dalna chahiye jb bnate hai bs jitna k tadka lgana ho usme daalna chahiye bcz palak hi acid bdata hai

Acidity se jab bhi ye problem hoo toh try ki vomiting 🤮 kr sakoo or fenal seed after vomiting consume krne se ye badiya ho jata hai otherwise jaise headache + khane ka Maan nhi Krna ye sab hota hai and also use specific poses for acidity management.

Hello, my mother has had the same issue for over 10 years now. Khaane ka parhez is the most difficult thing to stick to. You will have to identify your triggers and when possible see a doctor for endoscopy to avoid delaying diagnosis of something like peptic ulcer.

There are a lot of asanas and stick to healthy diet and follow a routine. Don't edit vlogs at night and take a good care of yourself, I know this condition gets really bad. Maybe a too much gyan but as a well wisher wanted to convey. Take care :)

Jyotika, may be aapne jo bhindi khaayi hai usme adrak na daala ho kyuki bhindi se ho sakti hai, meri ek relative ne bina adrak ke khaa li thi raat mein bhindi unko bhi acidity ho gyi thi bahot zyada. Also aapne mirch vaali sabzi khaayi, mai to hari mirch bilkul nahi khaati.
Aap hing, zeera aur adrak ka tadka laga kar khaao dal aur sabzi jo bhi jahan par bhi jo suited ho inme se.

I live in UK and cannot agree more that in the west, the healthcare system is absolutely nothing as compared to Indian health care system. Especially UK, its in a complete mess. I liked you raised the point of medical tourism and it happens till date.. in fact we had to do it recently, go back to India for medical help and come back. Anyway, hope you guys have travel insurance while you are in Canada, just in case needed. Hope Naina feels better soon ❤❤

Hello Jyotika and Rajat! Good to know that you are feeling good. One piece of advice: maybe you already have it but whenever you travel abroad, do get travel insurance. It's not gonna cost much but god forbid if you get sick, the medical expenses can be huge. I live in Toronto from last 6 years. Whenever our parents visit us, we make sure they have travel insurance. 😊

Dear Naina beta, i have same issues- TRY 1 SPOON HING IN 2 SPOON WATER. USKA GAS PE GARAM KAR LO. and rub near ur Navel for instant relief.
Or try 1 pressure point which is above Shoulders (it will release GAS ) and sit Straight.
Also, gun guna pani and ajwain and pinch of salt(take it).
I know certain food which gives this trouble. So try to avoid it (Bhindi, Gobhi Leafy Urad Dal types too in night).
