- Another day another truck, its time to fix the front right side suspension, so we can get it off the trailer. Mike fixes it just enough so we can roll the truck off the trailer. I was yelling for him to get his head outta there on the second welding attempt when he shoved it and the camera under there.

No Mike doesn't get upset . I told him he needed to heat the cast iron part first and weld it with a nickel rod stick welder . They don't have a stick welder.

I honestly didn't think those first welds had much of a chance at holding. Very surprised the second ones held up to that roll-off!
I think it is cast-iron .. would be impossible to weld..
But, hey, they HELD !

The wooden brakes, old school! I know the forklift needs special parts but it may ha been easier to wait. At least it is now in the shop and the assessment can begin. Thanks Brothers 👍 .
OMG THAT WAS A LITTLE SKETCHY AND FUNNY AT THE SAME TIME. CAME CLOSE TO SENDING THE WHITE HONDA TO COPART LOL YOU GUYS GOT THIS 70,000 DOLLAR TRUCK WITH 61,000 IN WIGGLE ROOM ITS GONNA WORK OUT AS LONG LONG AS THE POWER TRAIN IS GOOD. You guys know what your doing!! I have read a lot of the commits below first off I would check GM overstock I bought a new cab bare cab same color as the truck I was doing $1200.00 new take off box, used front end. swap interior DONE. Good luck.

They're out there. But it will be a number of trips to the wreckers to find all of the parts, and they won't be matching colors. LOL.

Make yourself a push bar out of 2 trailer coupling and a piece of pipe . Hook it to the towballs and push cars backwards around the yard !

Fabricate a push/ pull bar for the hitch receiver.The fork lift can't be depended upon to always be available and you do shift vehicles often. A positive connection offers safety and control. Put a receiver on the front of the shop truck as well. Regards.

We always used a push bar made out of an aluminum driveshaft, chains on both ends. Works great, lightweight.
Wow a bit sketchy but it's off the trailer! It will be interesting to know if the frame is workable!! I hope you can find the parts you need! Anyhow I am looking forward to the next video!

Why not hook up the winch cable during the roll off? Waiting for the stick to pop out and one Niko brother to get crushed between the trucks. Being "wild and crazy guys" is fun in the movies- not so much in real life.
If that low mileage Duramax engine and transmission is okay, the truck will be worth the effort, and a lot a great video content.

Like I said earlier cheaper to buy a flood to use all the small as well as big like cab, bed, nose, frame..use your interior, motor, trans...should be a great rebuild.
Here in my city Bodyshop does 1 or 2 swaps a week from your exact wreck to running and driving NOT FINISH PAINTED BUT COMETE SWAPOVERS.
Turn up the amperage on your welder. This ain't sheet metal!
