Greetings, Y! I'm a subscriber in the US and I just wanted to thank you for sharing your cab view videos. For some reason I really enjoy virtually rides on Japan's conventional lines. (Bullet trains are kind of boring, I think.) I do have one question: Is there a conventional main line that does not have a tunnel? Before I started watching these cab rides I had no idea how mountainous (and beautiful) Japan is! Cheers from Wisconsin!
Nice to meet you, Andrew! Thank you for always watching my videos. Most of Japan's land area is mountainous, so most railway lines outside of major city suburbs have tunnels. In the past, many local lines also had tracks that avoided mountains, but with the need to reduce travel time and improvements in tunnel excavation technology, new tunnels were dug and the tracks were re-laid in a straight line. Unfortunately, the current situation is that people are more interested in increasing speed than enjoying the scenery.

ソニック乗って温泉♨️に行きたい。
「ソニック」と言えば、「電車でGO2！」で鹿児島本線区間をプレイしました。ゲーム画面は当然ながら前面展望なので本動画のような後方展望はなじみが薄かったものの、各駅の名前はしっかり記憶に残っておりました。確か早通がかさむと強制的に踏切事故が起きたような。
にしても窓の汚れは何とかならなかったものですかねえ、JR九州さん？ほとんどが虫の衝突跡のように見えますね。
私も電車でGOでソニックをプレイした事がありますが、一度も小倉へ辿り着いた事がないような記憶が(笑)
JR九州は観光列車以外は検査の時しか洗車してないですね。綺麗な車両を見た事がありませんね。
確かにJR九州の車両っていっつもフロントが虫の死骸と鳥の糞とかが大量についてますね
