In my opinion what US Americans calls innovation, I would just call change. What I consider innovation needs to contain is improvement, and that's something which is often not there. Despite having worked in IT for many years, where change is the craze, I've always had a problem with changing for the sake of change. I'm afraid the current status of the US reflects this as well. Things do change, but they don't seem to improve, and in many aspects even go backwards. I hope that we in the Netherlands are a bit more careful with change, but I'm not sure that's really the case.
Labour productivity in the Netherlands and the US is almost identical. The hustle culture in the US may benefit some individual workers (compared to other US citizens) but does nothing for the community.
I think it’s time not only on this channel but on all channels that viewers get to see more of the video being played and less of the person introducing it, most channels show two thirds of the screen taken up by the person introducing the video and the other third of the video itself. Let’s have more emphasis on the video and less on the person introducing it.
