I have this exact model and just adore it. My wrist is just over 7” Sonia’s a good fit. I do wish they had a 38 or 39 mm version though. The 36 is just too small.
It certainly looks great in the blue, that would be my second choice as I already have a few blue sunburst dial watches. My choice is the silver sunburst classic look with yellow gold hands, applied Rolex crown symbol and marker surrounds. That goes with anything apart from maybe a scuba diving suite that I don't have :-) I really like the OP, simple, clean and classic.
My jeweler has one on hold for me.. going to be picking it up next week sometime! It’s my first Rolex, and I can’t wait to actually put one on that fits my wrist.
Love the new OP41 (even more than my GMT Master II) my favorite color way is the silver dial with yellow gold indices … it’s such of gorgeous champagne combination
Very nice but I thought it would have a ratchet clasp not an extension. Sometimes I just want a 2.5mm extension on my Strapcode clasp. 5mm would be too much.
I have one of these in blue, the same as this one. It's my first Rolex and i love it. As you say the RRP for Rolex watches is not worth looking at. I paid £6,500 GDP for mine here in the UK. Which is roughly equivalent too what studio29watches are selling their stock for. Although the green and red dial versions can be half as much again. Which to me is far too much for what they are. For the same price you can get an unworn Datejust with jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel, which is far better value for money in my opinion.
I think I would choose this model with black dial. But I still prefer the previous model of Oyster Perpetual with simple indexes at 3, 6 and 9 in 39 mm (114300).

I have an op 39 white dial, can confirm case is ~39.5 mm. So interestingly this case is identical while adding 2mm to the dial somehow? Maybe shrinking the bezel?
@@EscapementWatch Don't know, but upon inspection it looks like they did shrink the bezel. Perhaps in the end, the case is 1mm larger, and the dial considerably larger as well.
Love the watch on your wrist my dude! I’ve got the same exact watch after watching your video on it. That Seiko SLA043 is gorgeous and just as nice as that Rolex.
The OP is the model I would think about owning. One thing I don't understand is the easy link. Just do the glide lock that way you have more flexibility

Black for me. Other channels have also measured 39.5mm. DJ 41 is about 1mm bigger... go figure. That said, Rolex do 'wear' a bit big, CP Seiko which wear a bit small. I totally agree that the hands seem a small. Common Rolex issue. It makes the dial and logo pop, but legibility suffers. OK on the OPs and DJs, but poor on the Pro models. Personally, I agree there's now a huge gap between unisex/trad 36mm and oversize 41mm models. Where's Goldilocks? Makes me think a new 38/39 will be incoming.
whoa double post glitch. most likely the culprit is I'm measuring from the wrong position to where rolex measures from. they probably go more diagonal.
Now I just re-measured the OP off camera. I can get 40.5mm if I go more diagonal away from the crown about quarter inch. But from next to crown to across got 39.7. so the further from the crown the larger the measurement. but its kinda unfair because we are almost reaching the lug starting point
Actually the dealer are not selling the watches they get and because of that shortage is their and prices are going up and when they go up they sell it so here Rolex is not the villain but dealers are
This is my favorite color in the line. I could wear that size as well. Finding/paying for one is another story...

if I put the calipers at a more diagonal I get 40.5mm. So maybe the place I hit it was not where rolex measures? 45degree

Nice watch maybe my favorite Rolex. But 41mm is more a Lorus size than a Rolex. More than 38-39mm looks strange on watches without bezelring.

just tested on the 38mm boldr that was beside it. 38.1mm. so I think the calipers are fine.
