The graphics from the first version you showed off, are amazing. The effects, the reflective surfaces, everything about it looks so unique from everything else on the market, around that time. You cannot deny that the first version looks a lot better than the stuff we have now.
They should make it so that when you turn on "Screen Distortion" in the settings, it gives you the refracted saber handles. Also in the environment option where the only choice is "Glass Desert," they should put another one in called "OG" and it's the old platform

I liked the way the debris handled in the early days better too. I really wish they'd give us the option to control how the debris behaved, like whether it flew towards you, away from you, or lost all velocity when struck.

That 0.13 update was so cool, especially the sabers (I use custom ones now though). The game just kept getting better and better until the more recent updates with the new menu. It's somewhat confusing, but as long as the base game is the same I'm happy.

Honestly 0.10.1 is my favorite ver It may not have old custom songs but it has a simple ui and these cool simple saber and everything is just so simple and i love it

And now over 5 and a half years later it's still one of my favorites (The headset i bought when i was 10 was called the Lenovo Explorer. I now own a quest 2 and i must say that the Lenovo one was only good due to price)
I got my Rift S back in 2020 and this is one of the first games I played in VR because it is so popular. I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes this current environment. I had no idea there were others out there that dislike it too; I just don't like it. Like many others in the comments section have suggested, they should allow the player to have an option of choosing their environments to their liking. I would love to see that.
You can currently change the environment to which ever you would like, however if you meant Sabers, they did announce that they will be bringing new Sabers soon! Possibly even the older ones back! 👀

I think the glass desert environment is meant for 360/90 maps
