    Hello from Beaumont California, 2 city slickers here, my wife of 32 years and myself, was cruising the you tube world and was instantly subscribed to Laura's channel, from our point of view watching and learning about farming, very informative. Now she had us cruise over to her Dads channel, and again, a new subscriber here for you also. Lots of entertainment and information, You are truly a Blessed man, Beautiful Family and Life your leading Sir, Many Blessings, The Hoovers, Steve and June Bug

    I enjoyed your video and find it quite satisfying. I am retired and handicapped now, but use to be like you living in the woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A different environment for sure. I had a backhoe, built my own log cabin from the tree, built a shop, had many projects and became a degreed electrical engineer, which forced me to live in the stinking city for years. I now live in Florida, have a shop and a Harley. Thanks again.

    Yeah love what your family does. I have always loved Nebraska and the history . Read all about the waves of wagon trains and pioneers. Finally stopped at the Arch Monument Museum or what ever it is called and loved it. I'm sure many Irish also made the trip west..... It cannot be any better than to be tuned in with your land and your Creator. love all you do and for Laura and Grant to be starting out on their journey it is simply fascinating to see the progress of man and his mighty machines, God bless you all. It can be windy and hot but is wild and wonderful!!

    Maybe a good idea to paint all the PTO 's with spiral white lines - like a barber pole - so you can see them turning since they are not covered.

    I used to work for the Minneapolis Moline dealer in Hampton. Probably was out at that well at some point in the 70's. We had trouble with detasslers braking the gates off dragging their tired butts out of the fields before we had cutters to do that. We had six bus loads of kids out in our fields back then.

    It's so funny to see you running, I literally just watched a "laura farms" video from a couple days ago (Aug 10, 2022 destroyer broke down) and she was running from point a, to point b, to point c, etc, and explaining why farmers don't need to go to the gym, and why she drinks so much caffeine. Hilariously ironic timing!!
    I love y'alls videos! God Bless!!

    Seriously need to look into getting one of those little lithium ion booster/starters. About the size of two cell phones, but mine's 1,200 amps and will start a flat dead F250. You can get one for about seventy-five bucks on Amazon.
    Yeah, I know... I was skeptical too, but I was trying to help someone jump start their car at Tractor Supply. Had the dead battery of their little Chevy 4-cylinder hooked up to my GMC Sierra for 15 minutes and was barely getting a slow crank. Some guy on a Harley pulled one of these little boosters out of his saddle bag, hooked it up to that battery, and it spun over at full speed and fired up instantly. I bought two of them that night.

    Is it a 283 MM? I liked the 605 and HD800s. Nice slow running engines. We always took the gaskets for the pipe in during the winters, they lasted a lot longer and was able to clean the gravel and sand that would settle in them.

    I come from Iran. I remember many years ago my Father was in a world trip and when he got to America he had 2-3 things to say about America. First of all He LOVED, I MEAN LOVED AMERICAN CONSTITUTION. Secondly he spoke about how big the American wallnuts and other nuts they are Compare to Persia. Persian's are fruit ad vegetable eaters compare to other nations we consume lots and lots of it. But slowly all that Good thing about America(food stof) are gone. American Rise is at the buttom quvality. Pestash nuts which Persia is one of the biggest producent off ( or were ) is today something that looks like Pestash but tast like ( I dont know what ) ( genetically modified !!!? ) Dont get me wrong. This is my opinion I maybe wrong, I love America and American people. I just believe that Americans just like Persians let them selfs be cheated........... ( sry my english) ...:) Good luck with your Beautiful family and your farm and lots and lots of GOOD fortune for you and all of your Love ones. Love watching your Vide's :)

    Here from Laura Farms! Your daughter is awesome, great job dad!! Questions -What did you see when you purged the line on the forklift by pressing the hose end on the metal bracket? I've never seen anyone do this. You released the pressure in the hose that runs to the engine.

      I believe he was checking if liquid or vapor would come out . If vapor comes out that means the tank was empty and putting only vapor into the engine. The engine has to have liquid in order to run.

    I must be missing something. You have several rows of taller female corn stalks and then one single row of the shorter male corn stalks.
    When you planted the seeds in yhe spring....how did you know the difference between male and female?

    • @HerkaDerpa419
      @HerkaDerpa419 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't farm seed plants, but as far as I'm aware the female plants get de-tasselled so only the pollen from the male plants will pollinate the field.
      Edit: To be clear there is no actual gender to the seeds themselves, they're just two different types of corn

    Job for today; lay out pipe, we had to fix the pump first, now we have to unload the old pump but now we have to fill propane and I am only at 8:30 sounds like infinite regression. The job is X but we can't do job X because job A has to be done first and job A can't be done because jobs B and C are not finished yet so job X never gets done! sounds familiar to our place.... lets see what happens.....
