Just adjusted my valves and now when the engine warms up I can heat the valves clicking. Is this normal? I never really paid attention before the adjustment. Not sure if I'm paranoid or something is wrong. Engine runs perfectly
Also, I see you have a plug in the side of your Mikuni carb... on my MudBuddy I have a hose coming from my valve cover and in the side where your plug is.... What are the Pros and Cons to both setups?
so are you saying since I run 4500 on my HDR 4400 I don't really need the HOSE? I don't understand the hose anyhow... why would you want to pump warm air into your carb? Can you explain?
I don't believe this will apply when working with a cam that has the built in balls that are a part of the decompression system. Those balls are on the base circle of the lobe.
It’s good to do them every 80 to 150 hours depends really on how much you use the engine if it’s all the time I would go in every 80 hours but that’s just what I do many people do it differently most manuals say every 250 hours but I think that’s to long
Perfect explanation and demonstration.
This guy is a beast at what he does..
do more videos please. like some builds and stuff. thanks nick
Excellent video, sir! I was wanting to learn to do this myself...and this made it easy. Thank you.
Huge help, thanx alot for making this vid.
Awesome video man!
Just asking. If it 1 to 2 thousandths off if adjusted on TDC wouldn’t be 1 to 2 thousandth tight doing it on base?

If my coils are the orig. coils on my 2017 4400 HDR and seem to be working fine, will I notice any diff. at all if I replace them with new ones.
Can you do 1 on a prodrive ?
Great Video and explanation. Same for stock tappets on a 35? .005?
Stock rockers and stock valves 0.006"
Aftermarket roller rockers and Manley valves 0.005"
Same for 23?
What size boat if ya don't mind

What intake are you running there
What is the part number for the NGK spark plug boot that you are using?
Is this the same for the newer stock 40 efi? Stock

Hose delete not needed unless u run 5k rpms for extended periods of time

U want to keep the hose, over 5k rpms the hose will blow oil, that's when u would want to delete it
rgr... thx man...
On a stock 37 efi do i set the exhaust and intake to .006
what is that rod connecting the roller valves... I don't have that?
These are my aftermarket roller rockers with custom designed shaft mounts and needle bearings
Followed this video and now my engine won't start. Thanks alot.

Must be a short stroke engine didn’t look like those valves went down far enough

How often do valve lashings have to be done on a modded motor like that one you have?
