This update bar none has greatly improved and changed the game to a different degree than before. For the longest time since day 1 of release people were persistently asking for buyable parts and engine swaps, and now we got them.
My favorite swap is a Nissan R34 chassis with the NISMO VRH35Z-R92CP engine (Source Car: Nissan R92CP). Extremely flexible combo with the ability to earn BIG BUCK$. I have a cool RedBull livery made especially for this combo. I have it setup mainly for the 700pp TC race at Le Mans. With the right brake & drive balance & fuel mix 4 you can complete the whole race without a stop & even lap some traffic with the right weather conditions.
The RX7 w/ 787b and the F40 w/ Enzo are my favorites so far! I have 3 swapped RX7’s and 2 swapped F40’s so far, testing completely different setups on each.

The thing I was most happy about with these engine swaps is that I can now create actual replicas of JDM legends and noteworthy cars from titles like Tokyo Xtreme Racer, Wangan Midnight, Ridge Racer, Racing Lagoon, Need for Speed, etc, and even famous movie cars. Engine swaps for days!!!
cappuccino is definitely my favorite, i was lucky enough to get the engine and the ultra turbo as soon as they were released in game and its been my fave grinder at 600 and 700, its even capable of beating sard 800. two honorable mentions: 1) VW beetle with Porsche swap and 2) 91 Honda beat with the K20 are cool for Le mans aswell
U se the Cappuccino in the 700pp money grind at Le Mans... Also another favourite is the TVR with the Camaro engine. Around 1000hp, fairly stable. It WAS my 700pp until I was just messing about with other cars for a laugh.
I found that the 787B Rotary engine can also be installed into the Mazda3. From your list, the one that I like the most is the Alfa Romeo. Thanks for the video.
The silvia q with the engine swap is a beast on tokyo expressway, 1 pit stop on the 7th lap. Avg 2:02 lap times so you can complete the whole race in 26 minute's works out 2.3m per hour with clean race. And you get past all cars on first straight so no traffic issues. 235mph top speed
The Mazda3 with the 787b engine is great for LeMans. You can do 4 laps on fuel map 1 and it reaches 210+ mph (340+ kmh) on the straights. The Silvia with the drift motor is also crazy fast on LeMans. Albeit you do have to fight it on corner exits and you have to refuel every 2 laps. It’s still a really fun car though if you’re looking for something different to try

The 787b engine in the Mazda 3 with all the upgrades on it is so fun. Honestly one of my favourite cars now because of how crazy it is. I have most of the cars in the game too, platinum trophy

They should add a lobby that randomizes the track and accept cars based on pp. Also another good lobby would be everyone driving the same random car on a random track. These lobbies would not count for grading, just for quick fun racing.
I highly recommend trying the yaris gr swap. Fully tuned on r softs is a thing of beauty. Can't really use is it on any grind races but it's sooo amazing to drive. Might work on LM but haven't tried it yet

The Fairlady Z swap, is almost as amazing as the RX7 to 787B. I was lucky enough to win this one before the update & used it as a cash cow on the 30 minute @ Le Mans. As long as you don't ignore yellow flags you will get the bonus even if you go off course or hit another car. I found it much better than Tokyo since it's only a few minutes more, much easier & if it doesn't rain, you don't have to pit with the RX7 or the Z.
This. At LeMans doing 4 laps @ LM4, 195 mph on the straights, doing 4.05 laps (I'm old and slow). Rain or shine. Waiting at the end 15-40 seconds to cross at 30:00 minutes even.
Hi, I think level 50 is a good solution to what we had before. Level 50 had no purpose you didn’t get anything for reaching it not even a trophy. So now the swaps are still hard to get but anyone can get his favorite swap if he invests enough time in the game and it’s not based on luck.
If only the game had extreme brake upgrade. Brakes on some of the cars cannot handle the increased speed. *Cough cough* Beat and Capucchino *cough cough*
The engine swap must to be the best update in GRAN TURISMO 7 right now. Hopefully Update 1.5, GRAN TURISMO 7 brought back the offline singleplayer contents.
I actually won the engine swap for the samba bus from a roulette spin like a month ago. They definitely needed to get rid of the roulette spin necessity for engine swaps...but it definitely makes my roulette spin less special lol

I think you need about 50 Million worth of cars to get Level 50. So gold in all circuit experiences + a couple of time trails and spending all this credits at the legendary dealership and its done.
I've always enjoyed using race car engines in road cars, mainly the GTR GT500 engine in the 370Z, and the Raybrig NSX engine in the classic NSX. All of the 787B compatable cars are great as well. I want to try out the R92CP engined cars but it's the most expensive engine in the game. By the way, could you do an updated tune for the Cappuccino Money earning method? When the physics changed using the Cappuccino felt a little worse and the Intermediate tires ran out so much faster, so I'm looking for a new strategy.

It's not too exciting, but I like the Porsche 911 RSR engine in the 911 GT3 RS. Great sound and substantially increases the fuel economy.

I think the roulette will stay there throughout the game's lifetime. You can have anything extra from there.
The Sambabus can be brought up to 550 hp with the ultimate parts as of this update with the now buyable swaps as well
