Hey guy's! In today's video I show you my very first race on the Nascar expansion of Forza 6! I competing in the Nascar endurance hopper which at the time of writing, is the only hopper available. The races are around 20 minutes long which makes for some interesting racing.

That's basically what the guy said. He hadn't set the car up with the right assists so knew he wouldn't be competitive, so he decided to just ram people. You have to assume that these people's real lives are pretty tragic.

I lol'd when you tricked the rammers, at the same time it's sad you have to develop tactics to deal with them.
Yeah, it is sad in many ways. 50% of the skill required to win a race now is crash avoidance and rammer avoidance!!

For a video or something, could I suggest tips on how to get great times on the Nurburgring+GP and how to upgrade and tune a car to get the most out of it on that track.
I'm constantly trying to get my B class cars round as fast as I can, but 10:34 with a rolling start (Ithink) seems to be my best and a friend beat me with a time of 10:27 in an 88 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth (with engine upgrade).
Was using the Skyline R34 2002. Seriously impressed with the 2009 Ford Focus RS (Engine upgrade I think), so I tried that. Also I'm loving the IDx Nismo with an upgraded Turbo Rally engine I think it is with the middle engine restrictor, the acceleration, brakes (upgraded) and control are great. Also tried the 35th Anniversary Camero with a supercharger, which is a good car.
Problem is, I'm new to manual, but I've found in some cars with really quick/short distances between the gears, it's a bit easier than constantly gearing up and down. Also I'm not a proper sim driver, I use assists lol.
Any hints and tips on any level would be welcomed. :-)

Turn 10 studios needs to make a NASCAR game, this expansion pack show that they are capable of creating an actual great NASCAR game since EA had NASCAR.
I somewhat disagree with that. Sure, it's not to hard to race the NASCAR DLC at road/street circuits, you basically drive them akin to the V8 Supercars or Touring Cars. But Forza's drafting system is pitiful by NASCAR standards, and races at Daytona don't even try to give the illusion of pack racing, as the field spreads out into 1 and 2 car groups within three laps.
The problem isn't quite as atrocious at Homestead, but most of the AI still borderline gives up, content to just log laps while you're the only one still trying. Oddly enough, the Indy oval, infamous for it's terrible NASCAR racing, actually puts on a halfway decent show in the middle of the field if the races aren't too long.
This guy has mad patience. I would get so rattled if one person rammed me.

In GT6 there were rooms specifically for dirty nascar racing. There were rules even in them such as wreck only the leading 5 or first only and if I won a race you could bet these rules would go out the window in the next few races when drivers would gang up on me,even if I was'nt in the top 5. I opened other accounts to fool them. At least there were rooms specifically for that and most of the dirty racers you came up against in your video would'nt last long in them. Well done on your determination under such circumstances. Great driving.

I finally conceded to the rammers. Now I just run ghost leagues. I'll occasionally pop in to the ABC races, the staggered start seems to lessen the carnage.

On paper, it would seem that Nascar tracks would be a bit more resistant to rammers than tight road courses like this.
The frustration of merely bearing witness to that atrocity, compounded with the what-the-actual-fuckery of a “reason”for acting like a died-in-the-wool asshole made me feel like I was neck deep in spring fresh bullshit.
So I suppose I can scratch that off the ‘ol bucket list, which is nice.

It is such a sad commentary on the types of drivers that invest in these systems and games and then get online and just cause so much shit that it takes the fun out of the races. I've found that every once in awhile a good lobby happen and the racing is great. Keep up the fantastic work.

+Scott Baker Yeah, it really is a shame that they get more kicks out of ramming and not genuine racing. But yes, every now and then, you will find a decent lobby.
Another tune you can do which I find pretty good for nascar is engine swap, put the first level of restricter plates, full weight reduction and drive line brings you to 900 PI.

I got my assists wrong the other day, but guess what? I stayed in, didn't ram, and still got 4th place. Amazing what you can do when you actually play the game the way it's meant to be played

In Drive Club you get collision penalty if you ram someone and your car slow down for few seconds

I think hit detection should be removed from casual lobbies. If someone goes and rams you they just fly through your car like you're a ghost. That would solve the problem perfectly.
Thatas why i really love the ghost leagues, where everyone is a permanent ghost. It does take away a bit of the fun not being able to use overtake strategies, but its so worth it to avoid rammers.

Forza 7 should have special hoppers, that can only be accessed by getting a score of 135 or higher in an IQ test. Wouldn't cure things entirely, but it'd weed out most of these pricks.
And people wonder why the only game I've played online since 2013 is GTAV, which is supposed to be trolled!

What's sad is it's even worse in the leagues. I think it's just a combination of people jumping into the hoppers thinking "OH ITZ NASCAR LEFT TURN HUR HUR" and have not actually practiced in the cars, kids that have access to their mom's credit card and bought the expansion to make "sick azz trolling montages because NASCAR people are so stupid and I'm so randum XD", and then lastly people that actually want to race but just say forget it and go out for blood. Still a great expansion IMO but to get any good out of it you need to race with friends or in a private series.

I'd really like to know if it's possible to develop a system that disqualifies rammers and corner cutters. They'd just ghost out and couldn't gain any positions.

I do think they should of put brake lights on the nascars for the road races but can not understand why people spend good money on a dlc just to be an egg

I really don't get it, why do back markers smash others off the track? They gain nothing. Some call it trolling but the thing is 99% of the time they don't say a word, they're just silent.
The only reason I can think of is jealousy, they're shit so they ruin others races.
