I just sprayed my 7 acres in south Alabama this past weekend. Used prodiomine,metsofuron,24d and simazine all learned from your channel thanks Jason. I’m holding to rid everything except Bermuda eventually.
@@lawncarelifeJason, what is your rate to blanket spray a grassy Bermuda turf for new client that TG has failed to perform on. There’s lots of Tall Fescue and it looks terrible on the dormant Bermuda. New client start January 2024 and was just gonna run pro-diamine & roundup quikpro blanket spray. Do you have a suggested roundup rate or max rate wince Bermuda is fully dormant and wont harm it?… 🤔
Dont make the mistake of sprayer on cool season grass. You will be replacing turf. Lets just say, one of my techs back in the beginning of our business did not read/understand and we had to put down about 3k sq ft of new sod. Lesson learned. Great job explaining the math.
What about a NorthStar 15 gallon pull behind sprayer? How the heck do I figure that out for both MSM & Prodiamine ? Bermuda Sod Grass is hurting with weeds. Front & Side Yard 7000 SQFT & Rear Yard 10000 SQFT. I was trying to figure out product per gallon to fill up TO 15 gallon. This is what I came up with. Prod. 0.50 OZ Per Gal =7.5 OZ MSM .25 OZ = 15 Gals. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick
Good info. That is cheap. Here in Indiana transition zone I’m at like 55¢ per 1000 sqft in spring using good old 3 way herbicide but mix with expensive surge for nutsedge suppress. In the fall straight 3 way I’m at 28¢ per 1000 but may spike with triclopyr4 on lawns with violets .
I mixed 4 grams in a hollow sprayer and spot treated my st Augustine. Is that too much. I used the supplied measuring tube and it has a marking for 4 grams per 1000. Thanks Jason I always enjoy your videos. I just hope I didn’t mess up my lawn. 😅
1 gallon is equal to 1,000 sq ft if you spray lightly. Then add the correct amount of chemical to 1 gallon water that is on the label of the chemical you are using
Jason, how does your chem lawn/lesco style gun do on smaller yards and in tight spaces around ornamentals? I see some companies around my area using a long wand with a fan tip. Seems like it would be easier to use on smaller yards.
@@lawncarelife great! I’m targeting mostly smaller lawns. Got my sprayer in December. Can’t wait to get out and practice. I’ll stick with the lesco style!
I have always watered in my Pre-E immediately after applying. However when I spray MSM I pray for no rain for a few days. If you spray both is it ok to not water in?
The label on resolute recommends watering within 14 days. It usually rains by then. If it’s not watered by then, the product can be slowly broken down by photodegradation (sunlight exposure). The grass blades help shade it for longer lasting when watered in. Also MSM is rainfast in a few hrs, not to mention it has good root absorption as well. Don’t worry about rain
Most pros don't mix those two. Atleast the companies I've been around. Usually Celsius and dismiss or certainty is just as safe and offers sedge control
I work for them currently in Al we blanket spray msm but not Celsius unless your on a ride on. Then it's still not policy to blanket spray (at my branch)
@@joshuatyler6984 yes ride on. They were putting granulars and blanket spraying and spot spraying trees and shrubs that’s day. When I asked this is what they were spraying at that time. After 2 weeks I checked a couple of areas to see if this is a good mix. I saw the majority of the local weeds die Since then I had used msm and Fahrenheit for most blanket sprays. And or mason/Celsius if a new customer has 30% of weeds in their lawn or more 1 time coverage.

Sounds good. If I'm trying to kill everything but bermuda, sometimes I'll just use Prodiamine and glyphosate this time of year

Great ! WILL IT HURTH GRASS & TREE,S ?
Love the MSM turf recommendation. Stuff really works. It is slow but CHEAP. Don't expect fast results. Be patient.......
thanks, brother, you just save me a lot of money
Thank you

That's good profit margins
@@lawncarelife I do use a spreader sticker to help with control so I didn’t factor that in, but it’s cheap.
@@lawncarelifeis this weed killer for around the house? HOW much do I mix for just 1 gallon of water?
if its .28 of manor for 100 gals.... please tell me how much per gal in a real world measuring tool. I have a small 2 gal tank
Thanks for the video brother .
I’m living in Cincinnati Ohio when should I apply for this product
Thank you 🙏
Shifting gears, what is out there for grassy weeds? Crab grass, goose grass, Dalis grass? Cheap is the key. Sedges and so on would be a bonus.
I like combining Celsius and certainty. I am planning to do some videos on grassy weeds and sedges soon
@@lawncarelife Those are big bucks products. Not super cheap like MSM Turf.
say for 1g how much to put changeup and prodiamine, metasulfron and surfactant?
For 100 gal. thats some strong concentrate.
They won't ship it to me in Florida.
ae these safe for st Augustine?
what can I use for Kentucky Bluegrass? I live in Pacific Northwest.
Says I cannot have it shipped to FL. 😢😢😢

If u have cool season grasses, you're welcome 👍🏼 6:26
When msm came out it was 100.00 an ounce. I use it all December and 2 weeks of January with simazine.
Quite a price drop
Prodiamene for the win on dandelions, on Northern Grasses.
If you just treat your yard with preamergent 2 or 3 times a year. Would that eliminate most weeds?
If i spray it inbetween brick does the residual will be contagious for people?
No, it’s not contagious (?), nor is it poisonous to humans once mixed
I thought you can use that MSM for cool season grasses
Any luck getting rid of poa annua in a Bermuda lawn?
Can metsulfuron be used on St.Augustine grass?
Yes
Is this good for St Augustine?
Wil it work for Barmuda grass?
I have a yard thats about 2 acres. If I wanted to spot spray how do I know how much goes into a 5 gallon tank. I'm in huntsville al

Jason, I was all in until you said it’s not for Cool season lawns😢😂
Thanks for the info anyway 👍🏼
Sorry about that. Thanks for the comment
Yeah, what he said. I know you deal primarily with warm season grasses but could you show a little love for us cool season folks?
Jason, how does your chem lawn/lesco style gun do on smaller yards and in tight spaces around ornamentals? I see some companies around my area using a long wand with a fan tip. Seems like it would be easier to use on smaller yards.
Works great for me. Sometimes I have to get lower to the ground to get underneath shrubs that hang over into the yard

No

I don't think it's urgent to water in your pre-emergent. I have plenty of customers with no irrigation and the results are still excellent

I'm planning to use 0.55 lbs per acre of prodiamine with 10 oz per acre of Change-Up

I use two pints for 100 gallons
