    I have 24 amaryllis that I started from seed I saved from a plant after it bloomed 4 years ago. One of them is blooming now but I think the rest of them will probably bloom next year. It’s been an exciting and rewarding experiment!

    Thanks for the tips! I lost half my collection due to that red spot virus/fungus? I put them outside to see if they did better than inside ones but they all developed the huge red spots on their leaves. The ones in the house have been doing amazingly well. Large leaves but no pups. I can't wait to see them rebloom over winter.

    hey Tyler, Tom here. I have a beautfiful christmas red amaryllis that has finished blooming. I pollinated the flowers and they made big pods filled with hundreds of seeds. If you would like them or know of someone who would like to grow plants from seed let me know. I will gladly send them off for free to anyone interested . Thx

    Hi Tyler. Hope all is well. I have a question. Why not all my amaryllis bulbs give me babies. Even if I have them in the same pot and receive the same care? And some bulbs get smaller. Thank you. Have a great day.

      Im not sure! It’s really about creating the best, most ideal conditions for the amaryllis.

    Hi Tyler, I have quite a few amaryllis babies and some are prob 3-5 years old but none of the babies have ever bloomed, my 2 mother bulbs Rebloom every year so I’m wondering what the secret is to getting the babies to bloom. Got any advice?

    • @TylerMossop
      @TylerMossop  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The bulb needs to mature before it can bloom and flower, that’s usually a few years (~3 years). Hope this helps!

    Hey I got a bulb from the store and the leaves that are coming out of the top are really light pale green do I cut those back? Or do I just leave them and thank you for your video

    • @TylerMossop
      @TylerMossop  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can leave those - as they begin to get light it will darken, so no need to remove them

    When my amaryllis was done blooming, I waited until the leaves did and then, I removed the bulb from the soil. Was that the wrong thing to do? She I replant it now or wait for late winter?

    • @TylerMossop

    • @TylerMossop
