    Amazing playing. Amazing demo. Very systematic and consistent. The phosphor bronze are very smooth. Strumming sounds like a sheet of sound, but when it's finger-picked doing multiple lines, the high notes struggle to come through the mix. You CAN make them pop, but like it's shown in the "Arpeggio" part of the video, it's almost like they needed to play too hard to come through. 80/20 doesn't have that sheet of sound lushness, but the high strings have a much better separation, and you don't have to dig in to make them sing.

      I was literally searching for that video in your showdowns playlist. Great that you are coming up with that video. There is no such video in youtube for that comparison for acoustic guitar, I really wanted it. Just a suggestion... Include phosphor bronze and 80/20 bronze for both the strings in the video for the ultimate showdown. I am sure a lot of people wanted that. Kudos to your work.

    I heard that if you use a size 12 strings,, that you have to tune you're guitar a ½ step? Is it true? Or is it ok if i just fully tune it normally?

    • @JTravlos
      @JTravlos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Tune Normally. The tension on 12s should not put great enough tension on your guitar neck to break it. This is of course unless your guitar manufacture specifically says so.

      @@refaaria 12s are considered "light" strings and are very common and I would think most guitars would be able to handle such a common string gauge. Check out this video, even lights come in different gauge sizes. Maybe avoid 13s...

      Seriously? After you bought it and installed it in your guitar and played it for 2 hours it became rusty? I don't think that's possible. I just bought mine yesterday from the same store, but it's 80/20 Bronze.

    Sir,
    which strings will be better for bending in Fender-sa105ce?

    • @JTravlos
      @JTravlos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brand does not really matter for bending but gauge size is a factor. Generally, the lighter the gauge the easier to bend. You would want to find "light" strings for this. Sometimes strings are named by their diameter. 11's are considered a light string. To sum up, either go with lights or "11s".

    I don't think I've heard anything anywhere where the 80/20 outperforms the phosphor bronze. 80/20 strings should just simply be abolished and whoever thought them up should be erased from history J/k.🤪

    • @JTravlos
      @JTravlos  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LOL, Harsh! But I think I agree. The phosphor bronze are more musical or natural? Its a pretty subjective topic but Ive tried a ton of 80/20 versions and none of them struck my fancy.

      @ayyaboeing 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dunno man, for me the 80/20 sound better on the arpeggio. Overall PB is still better, and yeah 80/20 sounds too bright on strum.
