I like to try and support skater owned products or products that employ skateboarders. Vans is really good about keeping skateboarders in house which I like, same with New Balance. My feet hurt too boss, and the Accel OG definitely helps keep me skating, the puff is something you have to get used too again, but they feel good.
If you put some black laces, or laces the same color of the shoe they look a bit less bulky. Those white laces over the tongue and top of the shoe looks bulky. People used to wear fat laces in these shoes in the 90s. I just ordered another pair of these, they are so comfortable and last forever. The only skating I do now is just cruising around the neighborhood
Yeah I was around then and remember all too well those fat laces. I don’t mind the puff, and like white laces normally in black shoes. Yeah they can’t be beat in terms of, they just last. I ordered the all black ones that should come today for skating this fall.
I1m not a skater but I do/did street trials so I always used skate shoes. The Accel OG is the best shoe ever made! I wear them 20+ years. They're comfortable and durable. I didn't ever change a shoe (I wear the same one every day) the Accel OG last ~ 2 years.
6:12 , get the accel og plus, strap keeps the tongue down. Did you have a problem with lack of grip on this shoe? seems like 180s dont want to stick with me. the height of the toe is taking some getting used to. but it is the most comfortable skate shoe ive had. foot feels very secure and protected
Ok I’ll give the plus a shot next time I grab a pair. I did not have any issues with the grippieness, maybe on the first day a little but not enough that I remember it being an issue. I did find that in general they were not as grippy as like a vans waffle, but the sole lasted much longer than the waffle. I’m terms of comfort it is definitely in my top 3 so far, the Accels are definitely a comfortable shoe. I found the fact they didn’t blow out a huge testament to their build.
They're amazing shoes. I have a few pairs. They go on sale pretty often too. I got the whites for $80 and the Tom Penny browns for $55 CAD. Paid a little more for the Arto model though
Yeah I love the accel too, they are basically a perfect shoe. The sales are always good I got the pennys as well in white and brown for about $50. I’ve never totally destroyed a pair either which is rad.
kind of look goofy, feel fantastic is basically the perfect review. they're like cloud like pillows under your feet. great grip. just have to be cognizant of your pant choice. i've split the foam in half on my tongue and reinserted/stitched. way better
Oh that is a great idea about the tongue, I have a couple pairs that I can try that with. You definitely have to be wearing the right pants with them or they can look really funny.
és sales always seem pretty killer, I’ve gotten a couple different pairs myself before they redid the Accel’s. Had so many pairs of Jerry’s Emerica shoe, never the purple even tho that’s one of my favorite colors, but damn near every other color! Haha
Yeah the shoe itself was so good, maybe I got a bad run when it came to the sole of the shoe. I really liked at the time that it was a bit of an updated half cab.

the accel ogs are some of the most durable skate shoes for the money , specially the leather white ones , they really do out do the suedes
Yeah I agree, now that’s it’s been a month out from them, I find myself missing them. I may pick up some leather ones next and channel my inner Arto.
I have the accel og for close to a year and it still new to me but I do a lot flip tricks

Its really hard to find wide toe skate shoes at size 14
The Accel OG might work for you, the toebox on them is pretty wide but not very long.

its good for us but i worry the company isnt really doing well if i see sales like that , I try to support them I have so many pairs of ES
