Welcome everyone! Where are you watching from?
These are so sweet! Thx for letting us watch how you go about your creative process! Poppies are one of my fav flowers along with peonies!
Thanks so much 😊 I love peonies too and I have some in bloom now and more to come!
Patt, I always get tips, & sometimes direction from your paintings. Thank you for your inspiration.❤
Happy to help!
The second painting with the blue around the petals is my favorite.
Mine too!
For me also
@@margrietapostma7372Good taste!
My favorite was the 3rd painting...I liked the rigor brush mark's especially ...thankyou for another great video
Awesome! Thank you!
Third one my favorite.
Thanks for weighing in!
Third painting is fave!
Good to know!
I like how you showed us the “shapes” in the second painting!
Glad it was helpful!
Beautiful. ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
I really enjoyed this video. I liked the second poppy. I love poppies. I enjoy all your videos
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you Patt ! I think I like the third one - hard to pick really - but I love the negative painting in no. 3 . Kind regards - Judi - Australia 😍😊🌻
Thanks so much!
Gives my some ideas, thanks! Love your Ginko!
Great! I love the Ginko too!
I have a quick question, why do you paint the background last?
It is a technique called reductive painting and for my brain it is easier to see the negative shapes over the positive shapes. Check out Betty Edwards book -Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
I’m from Georgia near Atlanta.
Thanks for watching.
From Texas...never painted outside. Would like to...but we are already having 97° and High humidity...like 70° and higher...
😱. That’s too hot for me! Definitely wouldn’t work with acrylics!
Do you paint plein air?
