The one with the company CEOs daughter. Its so true actually. You don't know who another person truly is, unless you have met them a few times, but even then you can't be sure. But you have to respect everyone, unless the other party starts with the disrespecting.
I am huge believer in treating EVERYONE with respect. I don't care if you're a janitor or the CEO. I pride myself on being a pleasant person. Lol
I rarely respect people, but I at least treat everyone with basic courtesy until they do something that warrants me to stop wasting that energy.
There is a difference between "make me a coffee" and "would you mind making me a coffee?"
That difference is a coffee and a contract.
I remember going to a job working in finance. I was there to work in the accounts department. Got there early for the interview, as you do. Started talking to the cleaner as I used to clean caravans, chatting about things and just being friendly. A few minutes pass and this guy comes up to us asks what we're talking about. I explain I was here for an interview and just chatting with the cleaner but didn't want to get her in trouble so i'll go back to sitting. He laughs, we go talk for a bit about the company and why I wanted to work there etc. He left, I had my interview. Didn't think much of it.
I got the job, and about 2 weeks into it, I am at the water machine when the guy from before comes over and we chat for a bit, I tell him about how things are going, etc. We had a good chat, he says welcome to the company, etc and we part ways. As I sit down my line manager and team leader ask to have a word with me in there office. My manager then asks why I was talking to Dave. I said, we talked on my interview day and just wanted to tell him the good news (i got the job) and catch up. Turns out, Dave was the CEO of the company and my manager was worried I had done something wrong. Unfortunately, my contracted ended and they were downsizing, but I will always tell people the story because you never know who your talking to and should be polite to everyone you meet.
Sorry for the long post!! :)
@@Naymy - There are always two people you be nice to when going for an interview, before you even get into it. That being the receptionist, and those who work services (cleaning, parking, etc). The receptionist is likely going to get asked their impression of you, and the person who work services is going to bad mouth you if you are rude to them.
I'm pleased that the contractor got busted for being so rude to the daughter of the CEO. He was a jerk. What is wrong with people!?!
Typical example of the worse type of male entitlement. The fucking machine is right there in the room, but making a random young woman make him a coffee enhances his warped self image. What a wanker.
@@disgruntledmum4916 Don't know if it's male specifically, sounds pretty much like a Karen. Seems some people just like to act entitled until they finally get shut down.
I wish that I was in that waiting room watching the thing to on fold and filming it
These people that have just a little bit of power, want to use in some small way making them feel like they're on top of the world bullshit.
The sad bit is that if she wasn't the CEOs daughter they would have gotten away with being sexist.
this goes beyond being sexist. this was a psychopath with god complex.
That is why they needed to be fired in this situation. Karma came through.
but it is still stupid to pull that shit if you don't know who the person is there to see
It's just disgusting. I dont care if she was there to see the janitor, she doesn't fucking work there! Or even if she was there for an interview, what an asshat!
Ikr?? What sane person walks into a company he has a contract with ands starts berating and abusing interns? If that girl was indeed an intern, she would have been bullied by those two scumbags for daring to exist and not wanting to be treated like crap.
Even if she was waiting for her boyfriend she’s a VISITOR! Why would you ask a visitor to make you coffee ?
Yeah if you assume there a visitor then don't get an attitude with them over them telling you no they won't make you a coffee. I would ask nicely sense there already there and I make it if I was asked nicely.
If someone is by the coffee maker I see nothing wrong with asking them to pour a cup of coffee, rudely commanding however is another thing entirely. Would you please.... or Since you are there would you mind..... works a lot better than a demand. I liked how she never gave away who she was waiting for, almost as if she deliberately set a trap for the jerks.
It’s because they’re male and she’s female, so automatically that bizarre misogynistic attitude kicks in. I’ve dealt with it countless times in my 51 years on this planet as a female. Males who have fragile masculinity are the most frequent offenders, but all of it is really pathetic.
@@charzipuddin6129 There is zero proof that the two jerks wouldn't have been just as big of jerks had it been the CEO's son. You want to blame everything on sexism, but there are plenty of jerks out there who are equal opportunity and are rude to everyone regardless of gender or ethnicity.
Why would you tell anyone to get you coffee? Get it your self
I've heard many stories where people went to job interviews and were rude to people, only to discover that the people they were rude to was the interviewer/supervisor/company owner. My favorite one was where the applicant was rude to the receptionist only to discover that it was the interviewer who was temporarily sitting at the receptionist's desk.
First rule of job interviews: Starting from the moment you wake up in the morning, treat everyone like they're going to be your boss.
I've read a few stories where someone was rude to a person, and then a week later the person they were rude to was the interviewer for a job they applied for
Second rule of job interviews: Just be nice to everyone all the time, even if you aren't currently looking for a job
@@Deathnotefan97 Its a good philosophy, if it doesnt help you at least wont cause you trouble.
"Your boyfriend could get fired for this." No. You don't get to fire someone for someone else's behavior. Also: Misogyny!
Actually yes it is possible to be fired for your so if they have horrible behavior.
@@christinerolfe8357 If they're causing a scene at your place of work and being very disruptive, yes.
Thats what I said
@@christinerolfe8357 Yeah. ^_^ Just a bit further clarification for anyone curious as to what might count and what might not!
Alex Sure you could. But it doesn’t make it right.
Another valuable tip from an old broad. Be nice to the school janitors. They have a tremendous effect on your child's life. In my earliest school years, I was lucky enough to attend schools where the custodian staff were treated with respect. We were taught to call them Mr., or Mrs., depending on who they were. We were to OBEY their commands. We could see all around us how hard they worked , cleaning up our messes and keeping the school nice for us. They would talk to us, they knew our names, they remembered us from year to year. We LIKED them. And a teacher would grow a second head before they would speak to a custodian with disrespect.
And if you are ever stricken with the grave misfortune of having to try and get through Toronto's dreadful Union train station, the custodial staff are the only people that know how to find the bathrooms, or get to where your train is.
When I was in school (many many moons ago) I was wary of the janitor at the school I attended. He always seemed to be anywhere you looked and always seemed, to me at least, to be watching EVERYTHING. I gained a healthy dose of both respect and paranoia about them after seeing a few other students having been observed by the janitor doing things they weren't supposed to and getting reported for it.
Later in life I came across the I.O.U. (Illuminati University) book for G.U.R.P.S. and discovered that I wasn't the only person that had obviously had the same feelings about the janitor. George the Janitor in the game is exactly like I envisioned the real life janitors I had interacted with.
My janitor was creepy as shut An I avoided him lol An his name was mr roach . My mom was a teach there so she talk to everyone An I had chat with like I think he’s a child rapist
We quite liked our cleaning staff at my old high school. They worked hard.
Shout out to Mr. Daniel from elementary. He was always kind to us and helped me as a scatterbrained child when i left my stuff at school.
Our janitors never showed their faces unless necessary. They didn’t understand English either.
I envy the ceo's daughter.. I wish I had a father like that..
My coffee at the workplace story:
I was the only woman working in a business with all men...one of them my brother, the rest were carpet installers and delivery men. They expected me to be the one to make the coffee, and clean the machine and pot....while they drank up all the coffee. Making the coffee - I didn't mind too much, but what would tick me off to no end, was they would get their coffee while it was dripping out of the machine by pulling the pot aside and putting their mugs under the drip. Doing that messed up the flavor of the coffee that finally made it into the pot....of which I wanted some of it.
After telling each of them to stop it, on several occasions and not being listened to, I decided to not make coffee one cold morning, and just brought in a thermos for myself. Those entitled men, who were so use to having the only woman in the store making up a pot of coffee for them, threw a fit and not one of them ever came up with the idea of making a pot their self. I told them why there was no coffee and that I was tired of drinking hot water with a slight coffee taste because they interrupted the brewing process.
One of them even demanded from my brother (who own the store) that he should order me to make the coffee. My brother told that guy that he had heard me tell them to stop messing with the coffee making on several occasions and if they wanted coffee that bad, they could make it their selves, and that I was working in the family store to do inventory, window blind bids, work with walk in customers, and type out any letters or carpet bid, etc... I wasn't there to be a waitress for all the workers and make sure they got their free coffee...which the store paid for as a perk for them. (I usually made sure there was always some coffee in the pot throughout the day...but it was just me being kind, and not part of my job).
I got promises that the guys would quit messing with the coffee pot and I resumed making it again about 2 days later....and everyone got a decent cup of coffee after that. My brother was a pretty good guy, had my back in that situation.
Way to abuse your power if you start threatening someone who doesn't work there that you'll get their boyfriend fired.
I can't even describe how much that story pissed me off.
Please take several seats and never open your mouth again..
So many story's as why you shouldn't be a ass to anyone because you never know who or who's kid they are XD
Or whose father they are. Or whose wife. Or brother. Or whatever relation you care to use. If I'm some bigshot in a company, and I see my friend, who shares no biological or marital relation with me, getting chewed out that way by my employee, shit's gonna go down, regardless of the person's relationship to me. Even worse if that's my kid, or my fiancee, or whatever.
Father in particular comes to mind, because of a friend's story. Owner of a (not so successful) startup, had her dad visit on father's day for a lunch date, said dad got told to leave and called a beggar (or something similar) by an employee who was soon not an employee.
Or if they were themselves a ceo of a company, regardless of their age or sex. Walt could have lost the company a massive deal
gbg reviews One thing I’ve learned is always be nice to the receptionist because often the boss values their opinion. If you go for an interview and the receptionist says “You’re not going to hire him, are you? He was so rude to me” then you’re not going to get the job.
_o h that one with the CEO's daughter was so bloody satisfying._ Love it when foul little gits like Walt and Chad are served fresh karma like that.
i guess chad woke up on the wrong side of the bed
walt didn't really seem too bad
@@sakura368 ...are you KIDDING me!? Walt insisted that someone WHO DID NOT WORK THERE should have to make coffee for somebody! And WALT was the one who said that the supposed "boyfriend" could potentially lose HIS job if OP didn't wait hand and foot on Chad! Jeeze, did you not listen to the same story as the rest of us?
At my school the custodian would bring the mop bucket etc but the ones who made the mess would clean it up whilst she supervised any backchat and you would end up picking litter up during break times
Jerk: Get me a coffee black.
Daddy: I'll give you a black eye instead
That substitute teacher deserve to get blacklisted. Imagine how she would treat students who make the simplest mistake.
Teacher: *Gasp* hOw dArE yOu fOrGeT tO pUt ThE lAsT lEtTeR oF yOuR nAmE oN tHe TeSt! DeTenTiOn!
and then the secretary walks in
One of the things I remember from college, and have seen from the last seven years of teaching, NEVER tick off the secretary at school. As some others have mentioned, I hope the person doesn't feel too bad, because that sub should have been blacklisted.
What I don't understand is why didn't Walt get Chad the coffee (barring ego, that is) with a "Here you go, my friend." It would have diffused the situation entirely and probably would have put him in better standing with Chad. Hell, word could have gotten around to the boss about how well he handled himself too. No risk, all reward.
Because he one of those Male idiots who think women are here to serve them.
He orders her to get him coffee then go on how shes disrespectful...like he literally demanded her to serve him and throws a fit like a kid. Then they threaten her "bfs" job if she doesn't do it. Like she doesnt work there! wtf good they're gone. Like fire the "BF" cause his "Gf" didnt serve him coffee who again doesn't even work there! And black coffee just pour it, its no cream and sugar so he couldve easily poured himself a cup but guess ordering others around makes him feel like a big man. I wonder if he had asked her nicely instead if she could get him a black coffee then what would've happened? She probably wouldve obliged if he asked nicely and black coffee is easy just pour and nothing added in. Hope those men learned a lesson in treating others
Last year, we bought a new house. It’s our dream house; perched over a wide creek with giant oaks. It’s also rather imposing looking. We’ve worked extraordinarily hard through our careers and moved to a metro with much lower home prices, so we’re sort of living beyond what we’d imagined. I swear, this is relevant.
I work from home for a company in New York. I’m an Art Director and, as a creative that doesn’t have to go to an office, I usually look like a mess. In the weeks after the move, it was much more so because I was also painting and organizing and moving stuff around.
One day, while in the front yard working on some landscape plans, a neighbor confronted me to tell me the homeowners wouldn’t want me skulking around and they’d call the police if I didn’t leave. I said that I owned the house. She condescendingly replied the owner was a well dressed bald guy in his 40’s. She’s describing my husband. I say that. She replies that he has kids. I reply that, yes, those are our kids. She kept it up until our next door neighbor (who I had met) laughed that I was ‘bringing down the property values’ and vouched for me.
He still kids me about the incident.
"Excuse me Miss, would you please pour me a cup of coffee?
Thank You."
So difficult.
Yeah but remember to a Chad Please only applies to people above you ,
and most Chad's think only *od is above them,
and just barely at that .
5:35 Funny, if it wasn't because I know all the employees in my dad's company, and I know none of them are as entitled as Chad, that could've been me. My dad develops electronics, started his company 6 years ago and have guests for meetings regarding projects daily. The advantage of starting a company late in life is all the contacts you've made during your career.
AtotehZ
Isn’t that just the truth
The one with the Daughter and CEO is true, due to contractors being entitled. My step dad is a contractor and is usually a boss in his contracts. He is the one who tells people whats wrong and needs to fix, a lot of the people he has worked with had a very wntitled attitude.
Shoot, when I worked in construction under a contractor we made our own coffee and sometimes depending on the job, the people would buy us lunch so we were happy!
This is like the second or third substitute teacher story I have seen here and it makes my eyes do the. o.O thing.
I mean when I was in school millions of years ago it seems. The substitute teachers were the super nice ones and the regular teachers came off as harpies. What happened?
On the CEO's daughter. What if she was interviewing for a job and then took the threat of not getting the job as sexual harassment? All of the idiots assumptions were based on her age and gender.
Yeah, they needed removing.
Note she would not be noting it 'as' sexual harassment. It actually was. Why is it so hard to treat people with respect?
How is it sexual harassment omg u one those me too ppl u can’t just throw that around
Harassment, yes, intimidation, yes, and had her sex something to do with it? Most likely. But as I understand, sexual harassment would be more of a sexual nature, so no, that term doesn't apply. Apart from that, fully agree they deserved removing.
@@barvdw my understanding of the term means you need to show prejudice due to gender for sexual harassment. Not be overtly sexual. And is everything from groping (Very overt), hanging pornography in the work area, to disrespect based on gender. IE 'women can't understand computers or science'. Is sexual prejudice, and thus harassment.
Informing this person she will now not get a job for not pouring coffee, or assuming she is meeting her bf and now he shall be in trouble for her not obeying can be seen as sexual prejudice.
It's not a 2 movement I cant stand that movement but its the appearance of impropriety or in this case is improper that makes this an issue.
I don't drink coffee, I don't pay for coffee, I don't make coffee, I don't pour coffee, I don't clean up the coffee area. You want coffee, that's your concern, not mine. A new office manager once tried to take me to task when she heard I didn't help pay for the office coffee and wouldn't take a turn at cleaning the coffee counter. I told him if he couldn't respect that he should fire me and meet me in state labor court.
Disciplining a child can be done without yelling and it's far more effective that way too, that substitute teacher clearly needs anger management training... A lot.
Idk, I got yelled at a lot as a child. It is an effective way of teaching a child to fear authority. And really authority falls basically into the categories of either fear-based, or respect-based. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying it can work.
Sounds like Chad and Walt are family.
There is no figure quite as tragic as a power-hungry substitute teacher with no actual power.
Substitue teachers can be the best, or the worst. I had a major bladder infection at pre-school age. It took awhile to recover 100%. Mainly I didn't have to urinate . . . until I did . . .then I had to go Right Now. First grade Sub refused to let me go, because we had a break 30 mins ago, and another in an hour. I begged her. Told me to hold it. I couldn't, ended up soaking my clothes and chair. Floor puddle and all. School called Mom. Same Sub, 2nd grade, similar routine: "You can hold it until the next break in 30 mins." I couldn't. Again, I begged, several times. "Hold it." Clothes soaked, seat soaked, major floor puddle. This time, several kids in class helped me clean it up. Upset Mom came to pick me up. Forgot to mention: Mom was District PTA President and on the local City Safety Council. She was known, she had a righteous temper, and I was the only girl in the family.
Mom went straight to the School Board and informed them that if that Sub EVER set foot in one of my classrooms again, not only would she get her fired, but she would sue the entire school district. This was in the 60's, before lawsuits were common-place. I didn't see that Sub again until High School, and she was very polite.
As for me, I eventually learned to hold my bladder for up to 24 hours, because I was to ask directions to bathrooms, especially in public places. Didn't get over it until my child started potty training.
I never would treat anyone like that .man or women. If a person is going for coffee from the office ,I may ask for a fill up ,but never order someone to get me a beverage. That is just bad behavior in any setting.
Audiogeeks Vintage Sales Agreed. What kind of person does that?
I wish my dad was like the dad in the story. Too bad all he care about is his company and think family is only an add on.
There is a difference between being asked to make a coffee and told to make a coffee
BTW if a person gets "fired ' because his/her friend doesn't get this idiot that would be considered wrongful termination and the company could be sued
2nd story doesn't surprise me. Some men still think that every young female exists to serve them or sleep with them or both.
1 digit off doesn't mean it's the last one, it could be the first digit was the wrong one.
Miss Substitute teacher was also working there. So, she should have cleaned it up herself by her logic.
16:17 that would've been a good time to maliciously comply
I keep getting calls from drunk people because a takeaway place miles away is one digit off
How about all of us always be excellent to each other, like Bill and Ted advised🖖🏽
Why do these people not realize they've fucked up until they are in the doghouse?
Man I wish that I was I’m guessing the waiting room within the office building
why do people feel bad when a jerk experiences the consequences for their actions?
Ask the human brain in your head some have strong morals and makes them feel guilty over the smallest things.
I just gotta say I really enjoy how you do the voices
Custodians are rock stars and should be treated very nicely.
The scariest part of this vid was right at the end where he said "I will see you very soon" hopefully I'm not naked!
9:31they should both get fired. Or Walt at least a written warning and an HR note, because punishing someone for hanging a rude girlfriend is illegal as far as I know.
Maybe not illegal. Some professions like military pilots have very strict 'mental stability' rules, and spouses have been know to unwittingly say things that reflected poorly on their pilot spouses, and got them grounded. Other times the things were said intentionally.
@@jfan4reva Idk if you realize that people on TH-cam are from different countries & thus different laws may apply. Just sayin.
Why would someone waiting on someone make their own coffee? But, even then , some people are rude! I once was told by an office personnel to clean a coffee pot. Problem was I wasn't in that department that did that. The woman didn't ask, just assumed.
But I don’t work here....hahah
For the CEO’s daughter story, I wonder what slurs he was using. Assuming OP used the term right, a slur is a deraughatory word specifically targeting minorities. I’m curious about that because, depending on the type of slur, he could have been insulting her father as well. Like if it was a racial slur, chances are her father is the same race or is married to a woman of that race. Of course if it’s a slur about sexuality or something like that it wouldn’t be directly insulting the father but he still probably wouldnt be happy about it.
Anyway I just found it curious to think about what Chad was calling her and if it was something that could also apply to her father, and if it was a prejudice he also held against the father as well.
Please don't assume it's about race. Websters 3rd definition: an insinuation or allegation about someone that is likely to insult them or damage their reputation.
"the comments were a slur on the staff". Any insult is a slur, including rude names for your gender, comments about appearance or intelligence. She may have used the word "slur" to avoid using actual words that may have been considered curse words.
C.R. Kubicek language evolves and most people today will probably say a slur is an insult that’s targeted toward a certain group and not “any insult”. I said in my comment that my theory was based on the assumption that she was using the word “slur” in the previously mentioned definition. I could be wrong and she could be using it to just mean insults. I was just theorizing the possibilities because the fact that she used the word “slur” stood out to me since it’s so commonly used to refer to targeted, discriminatory insults. I’m not saying it’s definitely about race, or any other thing that she could potentially be. I’m just saying that because of her word choice it makes me think it’s a possibility.
Ross Vegas sensitive much?
The Mongoose I’m... just making an observation?
@@rossvegas1346 I don't think that "most people today" WOULD say a slur is "an insult that's targeted toward a certain group." You know, because most people know that calling someone lazy, entitled, or arseh*les are slurs, without actually targeting a marginalized group. Not all insults are slurs, you are correct; slurs are specifically insults that are meant to cause damage to one's reputation. But they don't HAVE to be targeting any specific demographic, much less a marginalized one.
Ok when people call a number that is one number off, it's called fat fingering I do it all the time with my keyboard on my phone.
Guys, valuable tip from an old broad. Treat EVERY female you meet with the same courtesy and respect that you would want your mother/sister/aunt/wife/daughter to receive. Because she may not be YOUR relative, but she is definitely someone's. And that someone could have more than enough clout to either destroy, or enhance, your life.
I know it's hard. A lot of you look at females as just sex tools or housekeeping. But if you could just curb your natural instincts, and concentrate on being civil human beings around us, you would be astonished at what females could do for you.
Sandra Nelson you know not all guys are like that right

@@MichaelClark-uw7ex yup, can't tell you just how rude a LOT of old biddies are!! And outta control teen age girls should be locked up for their behavior in public.

Wait so the uncle an dad was ok that someone was shouting at someone in office but it his daughter so now he’s mad lol
j borrego If it wasn’t his daughter, he probably would have assumed that she had actually been rude and deserved to be talked down to. It was the fact that it was her father that gave her the confidence to speak up and explain what really happened.
The dad and uncle were on a meeting. They heard the shouting in the distance but you're not going to stop a meeting for an outside issue that will resolve itself or you will resolve when exiting.
There's actually nothing in the story that AT ALL indicates that they were "okay that someone was shouting at someone in the office." No indication whatever that they wouldn't have spoken to a young lady who WAS there just to interview to get her side of the story and given Walt and Chad the exact same treatment.

Just because i answer the phone from someone looking for (wrong name) doesn't make me that person.
This. I get a few calls every week asking for "John". Now, I'll admit, my voice is rather deep for a woman, but even so, if I say I'm not John, I shouldn't have people saying "No, you answered when I was calling John, you should take the time to listen" or whatever. I've started answering any new numbers (when I'm not expecting a call from one) with a very chipper "Hi, Papa John's Pizza, may I take your order?". If it happens again, same number, less than a minute later, I answer with something like "Welcome to the suicide hotline. Not the suicide prevention hotline, the other one. If you're at the edge, we give you that last little push" in a very soothing, melodic tone of voice. Alternatively, before they say anything: "Hello, I would like to speak with (insert name here)". Half the time, they think I'm the one calling another person, say "Sorry, you have the wrong number", and hang up themselves.
If I was a guy, I might use the line "Ah, before we begin, I am legally required to inform you that I probably will be masturbating during this call".
This happened to me, lol! Over a two week period I got several dozen calls from some stoner looking for someone. I would have blocked the number sooner, but he'd call for a couple of days, then he wouldn't call again for 2-3 days so I thought he'd given up, then I'd get a bunch of calls again. He'd always leave voice mail (I never answer an unknown number and don't return the call unless they leave voice mail.) You could tell that the guy was really high on something. I think he had tried to put the number he wanted into his phone, but had mistyped it, and then just kept speed dialling me.
Let me guess, the political foundation was the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung...

Trying to figure out Para Educator? as I've never heard that term before IS that like a non USA term for a Teacher's Assistant? or what? was curious what Para Educator is?
In many US schools the para-educators work with the special needs students at that school. They can be assistants in the mainstream classes or assistants to the fulltime special needs teacher
Either something/someone that protects against/wards off educators, or an assistant/subsidiary to educators. Just an educated guess based off of my knowledge of the prefix of "Para". See both Parasol (Protects against Sol(Sun)) and Paramedic (Assistant to/subsidiary Medic)
I think Para's are educators without a formal teaching degree or certification.
Of I was the girl I would've said something like "That's news to me because I am (single or dating someone else)
