I went to driving school so many years ago but never practiced because of fear....then corona happened, I was pregnant,no nunny, a 5year old son who was not in school, a job that I had to go to so there's no way I could go with a matatu because I was scared of COVID with my pregnancy and my son ....so one day my husband left me a car and told tupatane job.....mark you i live in embakasi all the to hurligham....my son told me twende mum I'll be your co-driver I just bought an (L) just for five days and I was back on the road like I never left ...and the rest is history......I always say thanks to my hubby and more to my son ..
the best lesson that my dad taught me... first only drive with one foot. don't accelerate with the right and break with the left. In case of panic unaweza pata you accelerated and stepped on the break at the same time. also the other tip is.. for example if taking a corner tuseme kuingia gate.. let the car pass the gate like past the quarter length of your car then turn and enter the gate. that way you don't risk the back of the car hitting the gate pillars or as an was saying finding yourself on a pavement. if its a road and there is a meander, hold the steering wheel at ten and at two and slightly allow your body to bend along with the motion of the car. Otherwise Your husband is such a good instructor. he is giving you confidence with how collected he is

Confidence and passion is everything ..i remember when i was taught how to drive i was so confident and i had a passion in driving i was on taught how to drive for only five days in the evening only after work .. Funny enough on that same week on Saturday we went for an out my guy 🤣🤣 he was drunk he couldn't drive i won't lie to you i drove him home all by myself having no instructor beside me 🤣🤣

i feared trailers next to my car......trailers....i always went off the road. at one time I stopped smack in the middle of my lane...the hooting of cars behind me was crazy but weeeeeeehhhhh. I have never got the hang of round about.....i don't drive to areas with round abouts. but with time you get to be one with the car and that is the best feeling ever. all the best
it was really interesting. i was tensed and also laughing at the same time. my daughters' were also supporting you though one was also scared for you and the other was amuse. we kept shouting eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. keep on you will get there. driving is fun and as Ian said, its your confidence that will help.
