Didn’t expect this at all. One of the game mechanics is that one can hold a block and swipe at the same time. Left thumb should solely be for blocking and triggering specials and right for swiping and punching IMO.

Great video. Video improvement ideas. Record the fights and play like you do normally, concentrate and don’t talk.
Then Do a voice over explaining main points. Do 3 fights per video on hardest or new champs in the quest.
Great start to the series. The screen was reflecting your overhead light quite a bit. I did notice that you swiped with left hand trying to get away while blocking. If you swiped left with right hand while holding block you don't have to worry about losing your block and getting comboed into oblivion.
Todd, you're saying hold block, then swipe with back with right thumb and it maintains the block the whole time?
E.P. Wyck yes. Hold block with left digit and swipe left with right digit. Block will stay and eventually you get away from being hit while blocking

I don't think I've ever seen anyone showing MCOC from this perspective. Quite insightful.

I think you should do more tutorials like this. You have no idea how many of your playthroughs I've watched and attempted it on my own only to stop short of shattering my phone. I played so long without understanding any of the mechanics, specifically parry, of the game. I have spent the last 6 or 8 months breaking old habits and I am still not there. I'd be interested to see the other tutorials you mentioned like, baiting, intercepting, etc.
So, the GoPro cameras have a helmet/head strap that you could possibly wear if you didn't want to play at an odd angle. This would allow you to show people what you're doing with your hands. Additionally, I believe there is screen capture software that allows taps and swipes to be shown in the video if you didn't want to continue actually recording your hands. This might also be helpful to show the slow-mo "by the numbers" version of what exactly you're doing.

Hey Seatin you should use the over the head tripod , the ones which launchpadders use. It'll help a lot in this type of video.
Show us how to fight Nightcrawler and Hyperium, both pain in the ass.
After watching this, I just realised I didn’t use a medium attack since two years.
Thanks seatin! after watching your video my game improved better.. I can now bait the AI to do their special.. still hard for a few champions like Hyperion to lure him to using the special.
Only thing I have worried about when finding my style is repetitive stress injury so I try and use each thumb evenly and stay as comforts as possible if you get this injury it lingers and it sux

I actually use use my right thumb to swipe back too. I only use my left thumb to block or use specials.
Hello, man. Can you please make a video on the timing of dexterity and parry? Especially Dexterity against multiple and long lasting attacks. Parry against medium and when enemy is driving forward. If possible Focus on finger movements and timing of the left thumb.

i'm a one handed fighter. just haven't been able to transition to two. I know..crazy.
Some champs are awkward. I have to use special at the end of a 4 combo for Ironman and SIM. In tough fights, they just can't land them after a 5th hit.

Dodge back with the right thumb is a lot easier. I use to use my left but you can get it quicker with your right.

I would like to see an intercept guide, that is the one skill that I am missing to master. When I try to do an intercept the opponent always clips me

Kasey Rolow thank you! I know this video by Dork, it helps but still it’s very hard. Just now on the daily mutant quest all those mutants wiped the floor with my ass... it’s very difficult... i unlocked both parry and dexterity, they are on 2/3 both but i think it’s a skill that should be practiced. But where to practice? During the regular fights?
Nikola Novkovic you can do 5 duels every 12 hours for free I believe. With that you can even choose your opponent. After 5 you got to use duel credits or units. But also I would practice in the single 1v1 arena as well.

Couple things, masteries and champions' abilities. Mastery Salve heals your champion (except robots) for the first 60 seconds of the fight. Mastery Willpower heals your champions (except robots) when they're debuffed. A debuff is a negative effect on your champion. This includes bleed, stun, armor break, weakness, poison, and etc. Additionally, some champions have native, or signature, abilities to regenerate under certain circumstances. For example Ghost Rider gains Lifesteal after a heavy attack and steals a set amount of health points per hit for the duration of the Lifesteal.

I end up over tapping with my right thumb too. Can they not change it so you can hold down on the right to keep attacking and let go to stop? Would save our thumbs in the long run.
