How to reset your front 4wd actuator in your 07.5 to 10 LMM Duramax! (Service 4 wheel drive)

- This has happened to me two times because of my truck going dead over a voltage drain issue (my radio). If you have a service 4 wheel drive indication come up on your dash this will be the easiest fix. If this doesn't work for you then you might have a more serious issue.

My tensioner pulley went out and serpentine belt came off causing me to run without alternator charge briefly. Replaced pulley and belt. A few days later I tried 4wd and got service 4wd sys message. Searched the symptoms on YT, found this video, and tried the procedure. It worked! Thanks TH-cam and this video...saved me lots of grief! Oh mine is a 2013 3500.
I cant thank you enough. I checked all my fuses and even replace my actuator. Lost $100 on that but now I have a spare I guess. I wish I would have found your video sooner. You just save me probably around $1,000 or so if I had gone to a mechanic. I'm not rich man so thank you.
This video helped me to fix my Transfert Case issue (TC), on my GMC Sierra Elevation 2017. I was stuck on 4WD Low. Thanks
Bro I know you posted this 2 years ago but just like hundreds of the comments I've had a similar outcome, my 4x4 stopped working which of course thru the "service four wheel drive" light and code in the duramax. It was on for 1 year until my transfer case completely fucked up and stopped working, I replaced my transfer case with a brand new one from General motors instead of rebuilding thr old one... I most likely forgot to mention my transfer case had a massive crack adding to the inside being grenaded. That being said, after spending $ 2300 I obviously thought that would fix the issue..it didn't..I went thru the 2 fuse compartments in cab and under hood, no luck, replaced 4x4 switch..nothing..factory reset..nothing....I FOUND YOUR VIDEO AND AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS I HAVE 4X4 AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH I COULD HUG YOU RIGHT NOW NO HOMO YOU MADE MY NEW YEAR 2022 OFF TO A GREAT START

I HAVE A 2008 CHEVY 3500 WITH DIESEL ENGINE, STUCK IN 2WD HIGH. I APPLIED WHAT I SAW ON THIS VIDEO AND IT FIXED MY TRUCK IN 1 MINUTE. THIS VIDEO SAVED ME MUCH MONEY.
This totally worked on my ‘08 Sierra 1500, 5.3L. It was stuck in auto 4WD, and this fixed it. I just followed your instructions, and it worked, first try. Thanks man!

amazing video, Chevrolet dealer scanned my 2011 GMC 2500 yesterday told me i would have to bring back to have it repaired.

Hell ya!! I already need a new injector...probably replace them all and glow plugs...but, just about winter here in Alaska and this fixed a problem that I can't live with here for the next 9 months!!!!

I believe this was one of the best fixes that actually ever worked. This one worked great on my 2012 Chevrolet hd duramax, after hours of trying to diagnose the issue.

I've replaced the fuel filter, and drained it several times, but still the same.

My sons 2007.5 duramax. Dead batteries. Replaced both batteries. Then 4wd was inop. Ran across this video. Tried it...and..viola!! It is fixed.
