I got excited to see a simple hawker stall on the street or food court with an older uncle or auntie wearing simple shirt and shorts wtih slipers preparing delicious food pass on by their parents. And this simple delicious food just use old newspaper as the wrapper. That is so awesome. I grew up with this culture as a kid back in Malaysia. This is uniquely Malaysia.

Best food around at Kampar Market Nick. I didn't realised you were there filming that day. I appeared twice next to the Apom Balik Uncle, otherwise I would have recommended you to the other better stalls. Loh Mai Fun, get the one on the outside the market. At Yau Kee, the Herbal Chicken bread is the best. Hope you enjoyed the trip
Ham Kok Zai feels nostalgic👍. The mass produced char kuey teow doesn't feel good at all, it looks a glorified version "economic beehoon/mee/kuey teow". Wat! Yau Kee salt chicken is more expensive than the Ipoh famous Aun Kheng Lim. Overall I believe Kampar is worth a simple stopover for meals. Previously I never thought of Kampar, in my mind they are only famous for "chicken biscuit" 🤪. Thank you Nick for sharing, I learned more about Kampar today.👍👍

Delicacies were aplenty, particularly the food court behind the old bus station. Still go there every now and then with my wife to reminisce about the good old days.
yes, so much good food in Kampar. The older part with time honored stalls and kopitiams, then the new part close to UTAR with modern cafe and restaurants! 😋

我们马来西亚的食物属于rojak混搭的特色。三大民族的美食都一些共同点,而且大家也会尝试创新美食。现在,不止华人用瓦煲来煮美食,因为食物口感更浓郁美味。有小部分的马来人和印度人也用沙锅来煮食物,有一些还会用炭烧呢。😊

7:30 这样大面积的平口锅炒粿条即使用炭烧也不会有太多镬气的~什么火气都直接挥发了,加上没鼓风吹强火力,火力不大没炙烧到粿条微焦也没镬气混进粿条里。
20:09 她淋上的是调开得很稀的虾膏酱汁。这档配搭很特别,去到一定试。
35:19 我煮桑寄生蛋茶不下糖,要甜用一点冰糖比较润,外面卖的都很要命甜。

咸角仔(客家菜粄)阿婆早在20几年前就过世了。这档已超过40年,他的儿子一直都是播出她老妈的声音来吸引顾客。除了KL,怡保和金宝,最多广东人和客家人。金宝好多老字号的广东和客家传统美食。金宝有4到5种不同做法的猪肠粉,还可以混酱,有咖哩酱,冬菇汁,虾膏等。有2家50几年老字号的海鲜酒家。
我也猜是虾膏。你自己还会煮蛋茶?! 😱
@@Nick_catman 中医食疗观点,蛋茶对膝盖筋骨关节祛风湿安胎降血压有帮助,其实只是桑寄生枝叶和熟鸡蛋冰糖,也可以加莲子。桑寄生茶叶海鸥就有卖了。
金寶好多特色嘢喎!香港都好難搵到金華火腿月,鹵排骨好正咁喎!唐餅唔錯!咸角仔似潮州粉粿!依度好多人講廣東話喎!蛋茶香港都有,依度都有!執字粒活版印刷都有保留!

@@Nick_catman 此草在草地随處可见.生鲜磨汁掺水過濾加糖饮用.不需熬煮.生饮就行.因为很凉.如女孩遇上生理期及孕婦就避免饮用.緬甸女孩最喜欢用来做沙拉菜、据她们说能美容養顏.对皮肤身体都好。
