The Christmas special actually did released although it was planned to air on nbc and probably be released on vhs and dvd later on but sadly that was cancelled it was released directly at Chuck E. Cheese so to watch it you had to be fortunate enough to show up around Christmas time to watch it or otherwise you pretty much missed out on watching what would become ultra rare in the future until it was uploaded on TH-cam. People who couldn’t go to Chuck E. Cheese doing that time that were so excited to watch at home didn’t deserve to get screwed over like that.😭
Even though CEC doesn't have a lot of money like they use to, this could've made Chuck more famous if it was finished. Jasper probably wouldn't be the main character if this was made today due to him having a different personality. If this movie was redone, heres my idea: in the beginning of the special, we see Chuck and his friends celebrating the holidays at his place. Munch forgets to mail his letter to Santa. Chuck feels bad and sees him upset. He cheers him up and plans to take him to the North Pole. Chuck borrows Marvin's robots and off they go. Both Chuck and Munch take off to deliver Munch's letter to Santa.
This Christmas Special was the last thing John W voiced Chuck in, as both Bandstand 1 & 2 were recorded in July & August 1983, but came out in 1984 after John was fired during this special's production.
If Kadabrascope was sold to George Lucas and turned into Pixar, then technically, Disney would own this special despite originally going to be aired on a Universal owned channel, right?
Hey chuck e gang I have an answer on the whole slavery thing the sleigh pulling robots are probably not as advanced as chuck e and jasper after all have they ever shown to be as smart as them anyway how would you write this special i personally would put more focus on the whole elves vs robots thing like have the toy making robots try to harm the elves and they must be stopped in order to save Christmas i would also have the toy making robots be inspired by the sled pullers it would go like this once the characters get on the sleigh cause all the postal outlets to the north pole are closed due to a horrible snowstorm one character would say "ha robots pulling robots that's meta" but the sleigh pullers turn against the characters leaving them to walk to the workshop after a straining journey they recover at the workshop and go over the plans to figure out what went wrong and the inventor elf sees the plans and creates the toy makers the other elves asked why he would risk his job and he would say "if this idea is successful someone would have to maintain the robots" and you can guess what happens next

Great video! The Christmas that almost wasn’t looks really boring imo,
