7th Symphony is the seventh studio album by the Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica. It will be released on August 23, 2010 in Europe (August 20, 2010 in Germany), and August 24, 2010 in the U.S. Released three years after their previous album Worlds Collide, Apocalyptica has stayed with the tradition of having 4 tracks with featured vocalists, the remaining tracks will all be instrumental. Dave Lombardo of Slayer will once again be featuring on drums, on the track entitled "2010". The first single "End of Me" with Gavin Rossdale of Bush on vocals, was premiered on Finnish Radio Ylex on June 7, 2010. It will receive radio playback from June 28th, 2010[1], and its release date is set on August 6, 2010 in Germany[2]. The track "Bring Them to Light" was originally written for Worlds Collide, but both Duplantier and Apocalyptica were unhappy with the original, and so they decided to re-work the track, and re-record it for their next studio album[3].
The album is available for presale on their official website in two versions. The original album contains 10 songs as opposed to the limited edition which includes 12 songs (additional tracks being "Through Paris in A Sportscar" and "The Shadow of Venus"). The limited edition also includes a bonus DVD with filmed acoustic recordings from a session at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, recorded on June 4, 2010.

Best Symphonic Metal Ever
i just can't stop listening to this whole album, especially this song!
When the devil feels like jammin'. He borrows one of their cello's.
i was literally 6 inches from leaving the room where this was playing, and then 1:13 captured me and compelled me to headbang
Apocalyptica's own drummer cannot play the cello. He simply sat out for this song. :) When they play it live, he plays Dave's part. Dave was just a super fun studio guest.
I've seen them in concert and he plays the cello too!
Who? Lombardo?)
Sir Dave Lombardo also sat in on 'Last Hope', from the Worlds Collide disk. I challenge all to NOT head-bang. Impossible!
BIG like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRUTALITY!
love it
the best.
a dude could take one hell of a drive in his car while listening to this...
Just like Betrayal Forgiveness sounds like voice.
1:40
epic song to just go on a manslaughter with a badass sword
Pretty sure both he and Dave are playing at the same time.
♥
All 4 of them play cello awesomely, fuck!
@GloomySunset He's new member, drums only.
Cello's parts remind me of Slayer guitar parts
Fuck yes!
ummm yeah about mikko playing cello.....just so happens if you look up beautiful im 100% sure you will see IN EVERY fan video MIKKO PLAYING CELLO.....
@GloomySunset .. Well if i may join the argument, Mikko started playing Cello a few months ago so yes he plays the cello :P... :L srry to contradict but tis true :P xxx
What I play when I fight 20 men at once.
Two drum sets
Am I the only one that hears very faint vocals at 1:34? Like under all the guitars and drums? Maybe I'm just crazy but I swear I always here someone saying "crush them" or "kill" something similarly metal...
There are no guitars in this song, its all cellos
i do hear “cr" as in "crush” twice or something... hmmmm
He simply pounds on a cello with his sticks.
@Apocalyptica7th @GloomySunset
I think he plays double bass, don't quote me on that though
He plays double bass on the song beautiful.
@shadowspassingby Sorry man, but Mikko does really not know how to play Cello, in Beautiful he plays another instrument wich I can't name right now because my natal language is not english, in spanish it is called contrabajo.
