I was one of the privileged few on 142009 departing at 10.55! Was on my way to Liverpool South Parkway to photograph 57313 and 57601 top and tail on a Grand National charter from London Euston with the Northern Belle stock. Class 323's started working into Liverpool May 2018 with trains from Crewe via Manchester Airport and Piccadilly. They then do a return trip to Warrington Bank Quay and back before returning to Crewe. The journey to Crewe takes 2 and 1/4 hours, Virgin via Runcorn takes 35 minutes! Oh and Liverpool is always packed when the Grand National meeting is on. Sandhills is a good place to go as there are additional Aintree trains as well as the regular Merseyrail timetable. Next year may be the last for the 507/508's that have served the network for close on 40 years.
Nice video once again...heads up on the 323s, they’ve been running to Liverpool for nearly a year now, mostly on the Crewe/Warrington BQ-Liverpool services, unsure if they’ve done Wigan or Blackpool yet, but there ya go. They could be operating the once daily Stoke to Blackpool from May aswell. It’s great they’ve finally venture further across the northwest after all these years.
Thanks very much, I haven't been here in well over 2 years so a lot could've changed and I wouldn't have known about it haha. But thanks for information :)
Fantastic video from an absolutely awesome station, always enjoyable. Why don't Northern take on some of the 185 sets to replace the godawful Pacers. Instead most of the 185s are going to be sold to a rail operator in Ireland. I look forward to the next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, this was a great station to come back to after nearly two years away from it. It would be odd for the TPE 185's to go off lease to Ireland as they would end up at square one again with a lack of trains and to many people trying to get into them. If they kept their current fleet along with the new trains that are coming in then I think they would be alight
Class 323's started coming to Lime Street last year, after the major refurbishment works, for the Crewe and Warrington Northern services. The horse racecourse is in Aintree on the Northern line Ormskirk branch of the Merseyrail network, about 15 minutes from Liverpool Central.
Liverpool setting the standard for sheds who knew, now we do! Great piece of info there mate. What a station, looks modded for Football Fans and the like, IMO ;} Carved Rock Faces, simply magic with all the polished and painted metals. Great station, awesome filming! B.P.
This was a great station to come to and one that I haven't been back to in well over 2 years, so much has changed here and for the better really, the station access has been greatly improved and it's just a great station all round
Yes but I’m a bit worried because the greater anglia are bringing aventras and flirts witch makes bad variety(I suppose that moving on is more important) I’m there with my grandparents now and talking about grandparents my grandad on the other side loves horse racing.
“The 158s arrived as a 3 car but is leaving as a 2 car” 4 cars then leave think there was too much coffee in the morning for you there. Other than that great video as always. Can’t wait for Glasgow as a Scottish viewer
Yeah I think I was high on caffeine that day haha, that's my excuse anyway ;) I'm really looking forward to going to Glasgow and murdering the pronunciation of some of the destinations haha
I've been to Buckinghamshire railway center and they are demolishing the foot bridge on the old quanton road railway station and I think it's for the HS2
@@Tornado922 the regional 158s are actually pretty good too, I’ve only ever been on one once from Deansgatea to Piccadilly but even though it was packed it was a high quality ride
What time are you going to Glasgow central & what platform will you be on, just wondering as I live in Glasgow and really hoping to see you! Great videos also =)
My Like for the video keeps trying itself off but I hope it still shows up that I liked it. And if your going to start filming jurneys again if you can another good jurney Is go on East Midlands trains from here liverpool lime street all the way to Norwich there not every hour but apart from Sunday's theres a few services a day going though to Norwich you'll get some great views on that journey if you can do it I strongly suggest it bud but continue with what your doing and your nearly at 6,000 Subs.
Thank you very much for your suggestion for a route to film one I will definitely think about it for when I start bringing my journeys back into my channel
Really a Barbie colored train?! Really?!! UGH yes not my cup of tea and those other things yes the bus....when will they go to the scrapyard? Rest of video fantastic!! :)
That is the name given to that livery that was applied to the former First Scotrail Trains :) The class 142 pacers should be going to the scrap yard next year :) I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :D
The video was amazing. I liked the comparison between 2 northern liveries. The East Midlands Trains 158s are brilliant as well.
Thanks very much, the amount of liveries in this part of the UK is incredible

I'm jealous as I've never been on a Pacer :-P
I’m glad you survived lol
Having had 33 years of them on Merseyside I'm used to them now.
A tip: watch movies at flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Henrik Salvador Yup, I have been watching on Flixzone for months myself :D

Ah right ok I didn't know that they had put 323's on the route, gives something different to look at I guess.
Great video

Liverpool, keeping ahead of the game. All jokes aside, you're right. It is a beautiful station, pride yea! B.P.
The 323's have been operating stopper services to Wigan and Crewe for a while now. Great video!
Ah right ok, I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
No worries bud
Very interesting
Thanks for saying so
@@Tornado922 your welcome
Hey its Kyle
Fantastic video
Also I went to new street and encountered the same cross country you saw at stoke on trent and Stafford 221 139
I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I hope you had a good time in Birmingham
By the way the Liverpool-Norwich service will be split up and Abellio have won the East Midlands franchise. (You probably know that already.)
I do indeed already know that ;) But it will be interesting to see what improvements Abellio can bring to the franchise

Fantastic video. I don't know if you already know but Virgin Trains are going soon and a new company will take over.
Thanks very much, I heard the new a few days ago that VT would be gone by the end of the summer
Fantasic video!!
Thanks very much!
Haven’t been to Lime Street before, but have to say it’s a very modern station. Good vid mate

I don't think HS2 is passing through that area of the station, it's going around it at some stage
Love the East Midlands trains I get that one to Sheffield
I've only ever travelled on the Intercity routes, but they are very comfortable trains to ride on

i have never heard of someone more interested of suits except bankers that watch suits and dream of suits.
Well when one sees a suit walking around one much appreciate the finer qualities of said suit
365 what are at Crewe EX Great Northern
They are indeed.
seeing a Barbie 156 down south is like seeing your child grow up
And are you proud of your child?
You pronounced hippodrome correctly yay. The first one was correct.
You are indeed keeping score XD
Tornado922 your current score is 4
0:55 there is no such thing as a 156/2
In which case I don't know where the 2 came from
Bloody 142s. They need to do one
