Maybe im wrong but I think cataclysm its own version of cooking tokens , different to those from dala. However Cata cooking dailies were available with prepatch. You could do dailies and farm enough for important recepies
You’re not wrong as such, BUT! The tokens being used in wrath atm are a mists of pandaria invention, originally we got Dalaran Cooking Tokens and Cata did have its own currency called Chefs awards, they were merged into a single currency at the start of mists, the Epicureans Award. If I’m wrong I’ll eat me words but stands to reason if we’re already using the combined token, we’ll continue to
@@TheMightyKarrot are you going off memory? I checked twinstar and 2 private servers and all 3 sources use Chefs awards. Why would private servers use a pre-patch MoP currency for cooking?
@@swoosh3m1 I am not, I am aware that those servers use chefs awards, but in wrath classic, we use epicureans awards, the mists of pandaria token that is the combination of the Dalaran Cooking Token (the original wrath cooking currency) and the Chefs award. Since we're already using the combination token, it really wouldn't make that much sense to then introduce one of the component parts that make up the epicureans awards. They still might and I could very easily be wrong. But even the flavour text of the epicurean award mentions Dalaran AND capital cities, so we should see it being used come cata.
Which professions have a daily quest that rewards gold or items to sell like JC/Fishing/Cooking? I swap to JC just to do the daily and sell the gems from it in wrath.
Enjoying the Cata content, Karrot! Quick question for you or anyone in the comments; will we be able to reforge our ICC gear in Cata pre-patch? My Warrior is about to end up with an unholy amount of crit due to ARP -> Crit conversion and I am hoping I can move some of that crit to mastery or haste.
If memory serves, I think the minimum for reforging is ilvl 200 items which, again, shuffling through the old brainbox, is base wrath heroic dungeon loot
Where's enchanting at? ;) As I recall, they make a major change - enchant req. levels are removed on certain ones, making Elemental Force, as an example, BiS for leveling.
Thanks for these videos! I’m hyped for Cata classic lol Have you done a video on the flying? How much should I be expecting to pay to get Azeroth flying on all my toons?
I’ve touched on flying in the Minor QoL vid I did, but flight masters license (Azeroth flying) is 250g, 280% speed is still 5k (reductions for certain reps) and 310% is also 5k (also with reductions for certain reps) Some more info in that vid but thems the basics bud
Great stuff you're putting out in prep for Cata (though I may be just watching the videos for that grrreat accent you have) I'm going to be digging like there's no tomorrow for that Vial of the Sands ASAP, since I was gonna get Alchemy on my Priest anyway. It'd be great if sometime along the line until Cata we were to discuss that "Engineering BiS if you want to do serious PvE content" Cheers!
I appreciate the fact that you're UI isn't cluttered up with ten million buttons, alerts, and automated addons that play the game for you, unlike many people today who can't take a shit without using an app. Can't stand most WoW youtubers and their stupidly-overengineered UI, largely because the UI just obscures everything for the viewer, who couldn't care less about the youtuber's abject failings; people want info , not a rundown of why this or that youtuber can't play a 20 year old game without training wheels.
So for a new character I still have to level professions from level 1-700(?) the vanilla, tbc, wrath and then new cata stuff? Such a slog.. and SUPER expansive for a player that havent played since tbc...
rolling those R's a bit hard here and there it seemed, while i was looking forward to a prof video this covered nothing that i was looking for. was more so looking for a prof video for making gold and what prof would be best on alts that you dont lvl
Keep pumping out the amazing content!

Anyone knows, what lvl my character needs to max lvl a profesion on cataclysm (525)?

@@TheMightyKarrot Okay, awesome. Thanks man
@@Paneron1123 why would you? Icc gear going to be obsolete by lvl 83 green gear.
@@calebsmith1926 I'm aware. For those three levels I would rather not have wasted stats though. Reforging takes like 1 minute lol
was curious if recipes locked behind dailies will still be a thing in cata like with jewlcrafting in wotlk

Make your videos in chapters mate.
Chapters are one of youtube's best additions IMO, such a great feature

That I did, it’s even in my notes, fair shout.

How much skill does it take to activate blacksmithing bonuses?
Around 500, max is 525
