im 90% sure the "scream, scream, scream, scream!" part was Leez, the producer. ive heard some of his demos and that sounds like his voice. he's worked on every dreamcatcher song and every ateez song, he's such a legend
Yes, most of the choir in Raid of dreams were done by Leez and Siyeon. I think it should be the same this time
@@9S0dX oh really? that would make sense, but i hadnt gone back to check haha. i only discovered his youtube channel and those demos a couple days ago and i havent listened to most of raid of dream in that time. however, this "scream scream scream scream" is much more prominent than he had ever been in a dc song before. it feels like a part of the demo that was initially intended to be replaced by a member, but leez's vocals just sounded so eerie and spooky that they had to keep them the way they were lol, and i love that choice

Yeah, this was a brilliant song. Anyone who doesn't like it has been too ingrained in their biases.
Umu living her best life with Gahyeon/Dami Rap Line. And of course I love the actual musicianship dissection. This is why this channel has the best reactions.
I will say this is the most EDM influenced song that Dreamcatcher has done - hoping that maybe this will get them more success in Korea (although with IZ*ONE, GFriend and other girl groups also releasing at the same time will make it tough )
As a heavy metal fan who is now also into kpop this song is very disappointing 😢
@@uwotm8 If you listen to their entire album, almost every single song is a different genre. They are trying new things, its definitely a departure from their more straight J-rock style songs - but I suspect they will be back to that style. I also think that they are hoping that maybe a different style might get them their first win in Korea (rock is not very popular in Korea itself)
James Rawlins aye, it's an unfortunate truth. Most of their fans follow them due to their difference with the rock genre not being utilised by any other group. However, if it they aren't selling enough then they'll be forced to disband so I can fully understand the experimental change going on at the moment.
@@uwotm8 Their album sales aren't bad at all (around 32k for each of their last 3 albums), and I think they do well with their foreign concerts. KARD is in the same boat. The fact that their company keeps spending money on their mvs must mean they are generating enough revenue to continue - but it never hurts to try something different - and even though this is EDM, its not hugely different from their original sound. Even Piri was a change as it was a mix of rock with the traditional Korean sound. I also suspect the EDM sound is as much aimed at the international fans, who are the main target for Happyface Entertainment here.

Honestly Dami shines the most in the album. Got a lot of the best singing parts and raps.
Every song on the album is a masterpiece, though. Red Sun and In The Frozen, as well as the intro and outro.

It was so fun seeing the differences in how they reacted honestly. Umu was fangirling and freaking out the entire time (i would and am too honestly) while the guy (don't know his name yet) was just calmly bopping to it.

I was slack jaw throughout my first listen, DC has such a strong vocal line and the 4 of them complimented each other so well in this song.

So I've come back and started to binge watch all your videos. I also watch another person who reacts to a lot of Kpop for the post audio processing/editing/effects/whatever. I am LOVING these more technical reactions from both of the channels to learn about why the production things are done to help that build up, etc. in addition to all of your professional opinions on the actual music composition. I've never really thought of pop music being so deep/complex/interesting (not always, but certainly the stuff you all choose to react to). It's fulfilling the intellectual part of me in addition to the fan girl. Which I'm happy to see you have too, Umu.

That transition is my FAVORITE part of the song. The chorus makes me lose my mind but my soul flies out of my body with that transition--- it hits so hard. I kept replaying it over and over when I first heard it. Just a few seconds but omg.
