I like how the few videos there are on TH-cam made by people practicing actuarial roles are professional and simplistic. That’s how you know you’ll be working with professional and intelligent individuals.
It's great to see videos like this, there's so few actuarial content creators I can find. I'm starting an actuary Internship in life insurance and this makes me feel more comfortable with it.
happy it's helpful, makes me very excited to film an updated version in June! :) let me know if you ever have any questions :)
loved this so much, it was so interesting and insightful! I love the photo in the end :)
thank you so much!!!
this was so interesting! tbh never heard about actuary before you so loved learning about it!! miss u!!!!
thank you for watching bby, also omg check ur dms!!!
Throughly enjoyed your video. I’m a first year in Act Sci and I really appreciated your video. Gives me a feel of what to expect! Also a born yaadie right here. Big up yuhself and keep up the good work!!
Thank you!! Goodluck on your journey :)
I love how relatable this vlog is ✨! I just started posting part time work from home videos where I work for an insurance company as well! Excited to watch more of your videos!
thank youu, legit my goal w everything I share!!
I hadn't heard of this role before today, but BCBS posted a position and encouraged everyone to apply regardless of background. Thank you for this! I'm going to go back and watch your other videos.
happy it's helpful! Let me know if you have any questions :)
I enjoyed this. Keep ‘em coming!
thank youu, will do!!!
I loved this video! I’ve never heard of an actuarial analyst so this was really interesting for me!
aww yay, i'm happy it was!!
Enjoyed learning more about the acturial world. Great video.
thanks for watching Fionah!!
Loved the video and would def want to see more of these types of vids !
good to know!! are you in / pursuing the actuarial field?
Nope ! But I like work day in the life type vlogs
Yoooo.... you lookin real "IMPORTANT" & "STUDIOUS" in this video, that's very admirable (I love it 🤗🥰) I like when you do these type of videos because they really show growth in a person and, you're doing a really good job at handling "Life" right now!! Stay focused and try not to get too sidetracked.... you're really on a roll right now!!
😎😎😎 thank you so much!!!
@@KeianaByfield you know I'm always rootin for ya 👏 👏
I am in my first year second semester as a Social Worker, and this semester is the shortest and I haven't start studying due to course work .
I'm dreading studying tbh :/ definitely don't miss this lol
hey ,i loved your video ,id also like to ask a question.😍❤ is it possible to work part time as an actuary?
thank you! :) hmm I'd say it's unlikely that you'd find part time opportunities - it's typically your standard 9-5 job. I've done a part time internship but that was offered to me because I was in school and planned to return full-time post grad
Your glass has a thick base like it was originally a candle holder.
If I may ask where do you source none copyright music from your channel?
all the music in this video is from Epidemic Sound! It's a paid subscription though; Hello Thematic also has free options.
For remixed music, I take them from the Tipsy Turtle!
@@KeianaByfield Thank you for responding love from yard ❤ 🇯🇲
@@Summer15 omg yayyy good to know!!!
Can you please break down th degrees involved and if you can do a dual degree
I majored in Actuarial & Financial Mathematics (one degree) then minored in Economics
💜❤🤝👍 Удачного Вам развития Вашего канала!!!
What's your favourite & or least favourite thing about working a 9-5 job??
The commute to and from work😫
@@AllysonRose LOL I'm going back in office soon and i'm dreading the commute loool
Do i have to have experience fur this position or they train me?
Like with any job, a position will go to the most qualified person - so I'd say look through job postings to see what skill sets employers are looking for. Your job will teach you how to apply your skills to what they need you to do
Didn’t know you guys used kettles in Canada
wait, do people not use kettles? because it could be bc my roommate and I are jamaican why we have one lool
@@KeianaByfield yeah in England we do but not in America
Do you have to have a degree to get hired as an actuarial analyst?
Generally yes - I know one person that got a job without a degree but he's "exceptional" i.e. taught himself how to code, taught himself the material to pass actuarial exams etc.
Hey Keiana! I just found your channel and love your content. I’m also an actuarial creator and I’m starting a full time job soon! I’d love to connect with you :)
Hey Bella, hope you're doing well - I'd love to chat! Feel free to email me at keianabyfieldbiz@gmail.com or even message me on IG: @keianabyfield
Some boss are not approachable and I am not asking them nothing.
no this is veryyyy true, luckily at all the jobs I've worked at so far, they've always been nice; but I have friends who work with terrible ppl, and sometimes it's not that easy to 'just quit'
Off topic but you're supposed to wash the rice several times before you cook it...
i wash rice 3-5 times before i set it to cook - i didn't show that because it's a redundant clip that ppl won't likely care about given the context of this video
Exams are for the birds 😁Yesss, we don't know everything and that's okay. Someone is bound to help you. This was enlightening because your job title sounds hectic to me looool. Once a month for these types of videos please
LOL for the birds indeed!!! okay perfect, once a month it is
Damn I wish there was more cute people like you in my actuary department lol 😂
This was so so interesting I love hearing what people do for work!! So crazy you have to take an exam every month but also so nice you get a bonus! Ugh yes bubble tea🤍 have you ever had the cheese foam? I just tried that for the first time lmao
omg i've never tried cheese foam but I'm gonna ✨be spontaneous✨ and i'll try it this week hahhaha
