JSU is being very smart with how they travel because they are fundraising to perform at the Tournament of Roses in January. Expect more cost-saving moves like this.
What's the obsession with always wanting the entire band present? That's why these other bands make the mistakes that they do, always marching a band full of horn holders and players that simply are not at the standard of the program. If anything, we should start being happy to see smaller bands, especially when they are just as powerful and just as clean. Remember, Jackson's original "motto" in a sense was "Small band with the big band sound". You don't need 300 people to be powerful and effective. March who can play, not just who made it into the band.
the boom has a ‘varsity, non varsity’ system. basically the band is always trying out throughout the season. marching, playing and behavior are the requirements. doc picks his number for the games and that’s who he takes. if you’re slacking, you don’t perform. personally i love it. just means you’ll always get the best boom.
@@spoodiek2157definitely like this system, the travel team is definitely the best only. The director will randomly call all members to play on the spot too.
JSU opens with Blondie's Call Me! NICE!! Man...the Boom is keeping their foot on the gas from last season! SU is gonna have to pack a lunch if they plan on taking JSU's 👑!
@TdScott342 yea they did but famu starting to loosen up a lil bit. A few of the boys starting to crank a lil here and there.... they sounded pretty dam good but yea, the legion got they ass hands down like you said.
Alright. I don't like all the trumpet screaming. If your trumpets are carrying the melody along with part of the counter melodey, you can't tell with everyone trying to out scream the next person. You are already in your upper register so you WILL be heard without screaming. The drill was nice. I like the motion. Music selection was solid. Good job! @KBThaBandhead keep up the solid work!

That “Portuguese Love” was phenomenal👏🏽👏🏽
Those trumpets are the best I have heard from them in years. It’s going to be another long football season for everybody playing JState. 💙💙💙
that show was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. that Teena Marie OMG. and that was definitely an echo
JSU does have occasions where the entire band doesn’t travel.

The tuba part was a echo but the after that it sounded like whoever was closest to mic was picked up on the audio.
Great Performance
Powerful echo
This wasnt the full show. U didnt get a clip of the intro of that madonna song. That song alone, need its own video.
They had two engagements that day. The other half was back in Jackson performing from what I heard.

No body beats Southern University Dancing Dolls. Nobody!!
The Jsettes do. Annually💙👢

You must got bills to pay. You putting these little videos out like wildfire
The sound great field show horrible doesn't matter whole band or not
This drill was borrowed from Ohio state
Your point... 😐
Ain't nuthin new under the sun. It's all patterns in motion.
@@KBThaBandhead it’s laziness. You can get inspiration for another band without copying the whole drill.
@@Solidrockim This is like Southern entering the field using the Tiger run on or what whatever it’s called. Be original
