In this video we try and peel back the curtain on a user request. How and when to use the RC normalizer during a scope calibration. This was a topic that I was a bit confused by as well in the beginning so here we go on with the video.
** Repair exposes the Tech to mains electric and should only be done by trained personnel. Errors can be fatal. **

Could you please do a tutorial on how to use a curve tracer, explaining what each knob does and how to check diodes and transistors? also I would love to see more videos on calibrating oscilloscopes.

Absolutely more is on the way I have a entire mess of Tek scopes now that I need to get through My back log of Tek scopes is pushing triple digits! 4xx 2xxx 7xxx are all in the works. I can absolutely talk about a curve tracer more and go deeper in depth as to what all the knobs and buttons do.

If anyone knows of a place to buy AFFORDABLE small boxes with M and F BNC on them just like these normalizers, please reply here. I have a need to build some custom loads for direct cable termination, to use with the 1meg input Z of the 'slower' vertical amps in the 7000 series. I am aware of Pomona and others at $51 to $86 each.. looking for less costly, as these will be used under 200KHz , so high band quality is not needed.
