Hi, congrats Ashwini, god bless you abundantly, first how much budget u r planning for ur mangalsutra, secondly just think about your future needs too, only plain gold ornaments fetch you money in times of need or if u pledge for gold loan, the value of a diamond ornament doesn’t increase much as the value of a single carat of Daimond remains almost same for a longer time, gold utilised in diamond ornament is 18 carat, so these r some of the facts you need to know, if you don’t intend to change your diamond ornament in future, then only invest on it, another thing you must remember is it is exchanged in the same shop where you purchase, other jewellers don’t exchange it, it should be accompanied by an IGL certificate too, the shops were I buy diamond are Krishna Jewellers in Jubilee Hills & GRT in somajiguda, these people sell authentic diamond Jewellery, always buy E-F / VVS clarity diamond which is a bit costlier but has good value, check these shops, I hope this info gives more insight into diamond Jewellery buying
