I record with canon 80D & tascam US 4x4 soundcard on a laptop, but sometimes I record on audio cassette with a technics RS B355 deck and sync back on the soundcard after, for more crunchy flavor
@@JamesMcMeeken sync is the hard part, with tapes there are often speed issues even with a good deck, so you have to warp the audio in a DAW. It can get long but at some point it works 😉.
Nice job man. Quick question : do you duplicate pattern for live performance when you think your song is finish. Or do you just turn off the unit without saving ?
Could you give me a short checklist of things to do in terms of mastering? I have a Digitone and I record in Overbridge. I normalize the main stereo track in Audacity and that's it. For some reason, it's slightly lower in volume compared to songs on Spotify.
Well mastering is to be taken seriously, I recommend the book "Pro Mastering Made Easy" by David S Eley, and if possible taking courses from a pro mastering engineer. Also I would recommend using some hardware for compression at least, I use the SPL vitalizer on most of my masters, it greatly improves the loudness and overall warmth.
Fantastic! Your "Lo-Fi" is definitely higher-Fi than many other productions 😉
Lofi house is more of a genre, dirty samples, low pass filter and an overall warmth like it's played on a wobbly tape deck ❤️
The baseline kicking in at 3:10 is deliciously energizing!
This sounds awesome. Reminds me a lot of early Leon Vynehall stuff. If this was entirely made on Digitakt Im totally sold on it.
This is entirely made on digitakt, part of my liveset already ;)
@@k00000x Damn Ive been sleeping on this machine. But your talent is crazy asides from the hardware!
🔥
Man, just can say that this is incredibly good, so skillful, yes I am a true fan

Great work, again dude. Keep going! Have a question for you - what’s your recording setup? How do you record video + audio? Cheers!

Awesome. With the cassette setup, how do you sync the audio and video? Apologies for so many questions!

I reset the pattern to initial state everytime i finish playing it.

@@k00000x Thank you, that SPL thing definitely works because your jam sounds amazing!
bruuuh
Wait is this 100 percent digi?
This one yes, added some dynamics processing on top though, but the performance is digitakt only.
