The word "Cindai" has several meanings.
Literally, cindai means cloth and a scarf stitched with strong gold thread, which a girl keeps to wear on her wedding day.
However, figuratively, cindai means someone who is very sad and isolates herself, becoming invisible like a ghost whose appearance is very scary and unsightly (in Minangkabau language, cindai means ghost).
