Pretty much all of Mac's albums were entering different stages in life - he was a true artist that grew and changed over time. Pre-macadelic was app pretty similar, and arguably macadelic and movies are in the same vayne, but the rest were all different periods in this young man's growth. It's just so sad how it ended. Miss you Mac.
I thought watching mac videos (both music and othereise) would make me unbearably depressed after I heard of his passing on. And its did for sure, especially for the first few weeks. I couldn't accept that he, this man who shaped my adolescence and helped get me through some of the toughest issues I had ever faced by simply creating relatable music abouts both loving/hating life at the same time yet continuing to keep going to if not for anything else just to see what the next day would bring. As the weeks passed, I began to enjoy his work more and more, to the point that morbidly I enjoy it perhaps more than before he left us. Is that a bad thing? I'm not sure , but here I am still listening to an artist but more importantly than that a human being, perhaps one of the best of us, and Mac is still getting me through tough times.
