I created this with an image of Japan's ancient capital 1,000 years ago.
Mami Goto's singing voice is accompanied by a quintet of Japanese instruments (hichiriki, koto, drum), Chinese instruments (erhu), and Western instruments (piano).
The area along the Kominato Railway in Chiba Prefecture is famous for its rape blossoms, and the lyrics of "Oboro Tsukiyo" begin with the words, "The sun is fading as the rape blossoms enter the field," so in March 2024, we visited the area as a location for the music video "Yoizakura in the Old Capital," stopping at each station along the way. The filming took place while getting off at each station.
Beautiful photos purchased from the image video site shutterstock were also inserted to add to the wonderful scenery. The filming took place not only at the Kominato Railway stations, but also at Meide Falls Park in Tokyo's Kita Ward, Koishikawa Botanical Garden, and Mishima Taisha Shrine in Shizuoka Prefecture.
