So happy to have found this on TH-cam. Back in 1984 when I was 15 or 16, this program was aired on Japanese TV. I recorded it on VTR and kept playing it until the VHS tape got worn out. I could only speak Japanese at the time and had to rely on the subtitles to understand what people are saying in the program, but I watch it again now and I do understand almost everything (slang is always hard for non-native speakers). I was so in love with George at the time that I remember telling everyone that I wanted to be a musician like Boy George when I grew up. Lots of memories around Culture Club.
This is the best Culture Club interview in the 80s that I've seen. Love it when George is singing next to Jon wearing that pretty camp striped outfit. You can tell they really liked each other at one stage. Pity Jon ended up straight. I will think of this clip when I see them in Australia next month...very exciting...can't wait 😊

I mean by the time they get on stage, of course, it's perfection but yeah Roy and Mikey, especially Roy was like he's sick of the drama too. It's George causing most of the drama, not Jon who moved on with life many decades ago married to a woman had kids. Now divorced with a long time 'Girlfriend'. George likes to reminisce about the past and then he gets emotional and can't take it. He expects Jon to feel the same way. Jon never denied him and in recent years [unlike the past] talked about why he fell in love with George back in the day...This was on Camera during a documentary in 2015 and during an Interview. *_George has learned to live with it, let go of his anger & be peaceful + cordial with Jon, but he has his moments like any human being_* about the love of his life. The Band members have been together now for over 35 years *what I love about them is that they always come together throughout the years to tour and perform.* *1998* Reunion Tour when they released, "I want to be loved" little reggae tune they were active *1998-2000*. In *2002* there was the 20th Anniversary Tour. *2007* they tried to launch a new Tour without George who was working on another project and unavailable but the project was shelved because the new singer was awful. *2011* Live Concerts and New Years event. *2014* to present times they toured after Georges surgery to remove polyps from his vocal cords. They had a massive Tour *2016 U.S. + Australia*. They will continue to Tour and put out new releases in the Future. *I LOVE CULTURE CLUB!* Love those Guys.
