I was overall inspired to play Baus’ style. And found myself losing every game, then I saw he just went for the base and not grouping when there were some team fights. I tried to adopt this as well, and it surprisingly went even worse. I guess it’s why Baus is challenger and I’m cardboard 87. 🙂

I think the trick is understanding when it makes sense to team fight and when it does not. I have seen some of his videos he will focus on being a part of team fights and them some videos he will purposely stay away from team fights. More than mechanics I think his sense of the game is amazing.
Baus is just so insanely good at maximizing every seconds spent in the game and his movement + his mechanics make his crazy plays possible. You really need to understand why he does everything he does to play like him. Every move has a meaning.

is it just me or i actually prefer watching babus' tank sion rather than his ad sion. both are great but the sheer power of tank sion...is like some unstoppable final boss running over mauling people and the enemy team is powerless to stop you. xD

Yes but when he plays tank, he wins by playing bad as he said earlier. He kills everyone with autos. But when he plays ad he have to play right, hit every skillshot and win. So it is more valuable in my opinion.

Replace that with Sona/Seraphine or both for maximum cancer and ONE beefy tank like Sion in the front.
Can't engage, can't burst because massive shield, have to let them do mistakes to actually win or have an equally strong comp.
Most of my best aram games were when these champs were not there, especially full melee ones.
For some reason i've always appreciated the editors choice to fast forward the farming bits yet including them anyways.

Whenever I play a lethality champ I build umbrail glave instead of axiom arc because same lethality but for less gold
Also clearing vision is kinda important
but when do you build it? its like in one of 50 games where you get to the point where you can buy it since this is like a 6th item angle on everyone but pyke. imo you like always go boots + mythic + yomus + grudge, most of the time you want a deathdance because riot balancing is good and then youre at the 6th slot where you probably wont buy the item straight up because you would want a pot because the next tf most likely ends the game

Regardless of what rank Baus ends up on Korea, I think we can all agree he's going to fucking stomp EU when he gets back.
Once I played against Shen, Sett and Tahm Kench in one team. We couldn't kill them because of their infinite shields, but then I build serpent's fang on Amumu and we suddenly won the final fight, where I removed like 3k shield hp. Yeah, it was a specific situation, but just a fun story. But still, I usually buy this item (serpent's fang) whenever there is a Karma or Lulu in the enemy team, it actually helps a lot.
Yeah I found it funny when he threw Serpent in with actual bad lethality items, maybe just a hangover opinion because it used to be gold efficient enough to build it non-situationally.
axiom arc is troll on pyke. every time he uses R it resets the cooldown, which means that even if you get a pentakill you only get 20% off the CD
Maybe they changed it but on axiom arc release that’s not how the pyke interaction worked

I dont get why Axiom was introduced in the first place. Give a class that has more access to CDR than they need an item that only gives CDR. Umbral Glaive has at least a purpose as the cheapest lethality option that can be build comfortably by Pyke and Senna. It is hard to give rise to more lethality options since the mythics already take up 3 items that cant be built together, but at least dont introduce a noob trap.
Support Pantheon can build Umbral Glaive too
I still maintain that mythic system reduced item diversity, but shrug

Axiom Arc is only good when you are unable to use your ult properly, or if you're Pantheon and want to show up to the tf collect some heads and then go straight to the enemy base.
They should make an mr grievous item instead or an item that removes vayne from the game

If the enemy has no %HP damage the game is just auto win for baus, thats so crazy.
A fed adc with kraken slayer can also be a issue, but only if they manage to keep their distance, the damage on the sunfire tank build is imoral

Axiom arc is a "win more" item. I'd much rather build "lose less" items. It gives value in an area that is mostly never needed.

@@tommyfa8768 its literally what it tries to be. A win more item means that it gives way too much unneeded value that ends up being useless in the long run. Its a term I learned playing hearthstone. The concept translates pretty easily no matter what league rank I am.
@@johnh9367 That's not even what win-more means (or you explained it/I understood poorly). Win more means it only works well when you're already winning, serving to make you win even harder, but correspondingly be useless/underpowered if you aren't already winning. So for example dark seal/meja's are win more.
I would agree that axiom arc seems like a win more item, but if so I wonder why one of the best pyke's in the world never builds it even when fed. Although I've heard that it doesn't work properly on Pyke because of his ult reset, which would void that particular consideration.

Baus playing tank sion on korean server seems meant to be, he rarely ffs, hard tilts less than a lot of others and drags games out whenever he can, since their meta revolves around ending games fast people aren't picking ass many late game scaling champions. Then the enemy team is left with assassins mid and jg and a lethality adc who can't hurt him. Love seeing these games

The fact that noc best build does not include axiom arc is more a failure of nocturne’s design than axiom arc, nocturne should be the hyper ulting one shot assassin but his kit is so shit he has to build bruiser to be useful
no, bruiser items are just stronger
i don't think it's a nocturne design problem it's more like a current meta design problem cause assassin's are more less useless unless they build bruiser items even the few champions that rely on pure AD + lethality is a glass cannon and everyitem in the game literally has HP on it like the amount of item that has a ruby crystal component is insane the best assassin's in the game which can even utilize lethality and AD can be counted with your fingers alone :/

considering all the escapes and random builds adc have at the moment, its more a problem of assassin being useless as there is no more the free kill on the adc whatever they do .
i think its actualy a good thing , but it made the "full assassin" usefull only in determined situation and if the ADC just go for dmg and nothing else. this mean it work on till silver-gold.

For me one of the reasons why I just don't build axiom arc because you have youmu's ghostblade which gives movement, haste and more lethality, and the ult reset may be cool, but it forces you into situations where you have to get AT LEAST a triple kill before it becomes actually useful. Since pyke already has a ult reset on kill, might as well build other items that lets him survive and kill the current opponent he's facing against.
As a noct main, I really wanted Axiom arc to be an item u can build on nocturne to increase ur snowballing potential mid game. I just cant build it as a first or second item and by the time i get to my 3rd item its irrelevant. So i a agree with Baus, this items sucks. Only way id build it on noct was if it gave 200 flat hp or maybe some survivability which is the main concern for a mid game nocturne after ulting.

I agree on arc but serpant and the shield cut very good, ofc only if the enemy teams has alot of shields, like for example as shen ulting a feed hyper carry with full shield is insanly hard to deal with, but then with serpant it gets manegable.
Umbral is good on sups like pyke or pantheon, shield remover 9000 is only good in certain scenarios but works pretty good against zeri, seraphine, etc
axium arc on zed is pretty good no cap

Lethality items are very strange, all of them have some sort of Utility passive so that there is an excuse to not make them cost effective.
Imagine if there was a lethality item that gave AD and lethality only, nothing more nothing less. Thats really all that AD champs want, we saw when Serpents Fang was deemed "cost effective", everyone would rush it, then it got nerfed and Ghostblade got buffed, everyone builds ghostblade because its the most cost effective lethality + AD source.
You will see everyone start rushing Umbral Glaive next patch because it got cheaper.
Why can't Riot just make a lethality item that is only "greedy"? No utility, just raw power.

because ad assassins are unhealthy for the game, the only way they are healthy is if they have to build full squishy so they oneshot one guy and then die coz of cooldowns trading 1 for 1. if you make efficient lethality items they will build them and then buy efficient tank items.

No Ad assassin has the damage/crowd-control/immune to ganks that mages have and also all bruisers beat ad assassins their only goal is to kill adcs (who are the most useless role in the game) a Teamfighter can carry more than an assassin can do

I occasionally build axiom arc on pyke, but I prefer ghostblade and edge of night over it, it is quite good on lethal panth tho.
