I used to own a little farm house about a mile away from an outdoor venue that attracts all the big names to Indianapolis. Every year Phish would play a three date gig there in the summer. I was laid down for an afternoon nap and I kept hearing singing and bongo drums and woke up to find a dozen Phish Heads in my front yard under my giant oak tree just chillin' out and trying to keep cool. When I first walked out, they were apologizing and asked me if I wanted them to leave. I said no they were fine and I went out and brought a pitcher of lemonade and joined them. It was so much fun. We sat there and sang and got high and laughed all afternoon. My wife came home and she fell in love with all of them. We ended up partying with them all day and we didn't go the show with them, I let them camp in my yard and let them use my shower and let them do their laundry and just hung out like I was a kid again. I moved the next year so that was the last I saw of them.
Love the Life that happens like that. You painted that whole thing very well. .... what a good day brother =] Thank you for sharing that with the rest of us ..... I will be looking out for that smooth lemonade sometime.
First of all, thank you. You have helped to change my life for the better more than most of the teachers I ever had. Second of all, summer '15 compilation? I need it. You need it. The world needs it
Thanks LL55!!! Bangor 7/3 was my first show since coventry... These Jams are why I love this band! My touring days are long gone but i loved since i first saw em in 1988... Im Old.....
This was the video that first introduced me to jambands, thank you my friend. It's been a long, crazy, journey ever since then lol but I wouldn't have it any other way. I still believe this was the best run since before they ‘broke up’ in 2004.
Wow. This is just great. Already one of my favorite videos on TH-cam. The quality of video coupled with great audio and choice selections of the best jamming moments from one of the better tours in recent memory makes for an A+ video. Not only have you taken the time to record these legendary shows, but to edit it, track it out for us and cull the best moments takes a ton of effort and time. Thanks so much. Today is my birthday and one of the best gifts I got! Thanks so much for everything that went into this and all your prior videos that I have enjoyed so much.
Audio Quality is capped at 192 kbps by TH-cam, so I can't really agree with the fact that this great audio quality... Nevertheless, great selection of clips. Very nice indeed.
LazyLightning55a without question your greatest yet!!! Keep up the amazing work. It's amazing for those of us who can't make it to every show to be able to follow along like this. This should be called PeakFest 2013. Wow!!!! Thanks.
I cannot get over how good that DCU Drowned is. The way Fish just pushes an instant transition and they all just pick up into this blissful and beautiful jam is really something to me.
that beginning Carini jam......oh Sweet Sassafras.......I wish the Spaceship Hampton would come pick me up and bring me back to that moment in time. (:
lol the one show I actually attended that tour, Rochester, isnt here..and rightfully so as I don't recall anything THAT spectacular ..:( REGARDLESS this totally rocks! Thank you for taking the time to put together such an entertaining collection of improvisational music!! ^_^ WHAT A TREAT!!!
@LazyLightning55a I want to hug you and squeeze you....!! Thank you for all the music to my ears and, when watching, the great shots....not too tight, not too wide. Well done sir!
i first saw em i 95, and 96,97 including the hampton/winston weekend , now famous,98&99hampton. Now back again hampton to kick off the fall. one word: Carini. then night 2: the whole show was epic. they are so tight now.. glad they still got what it takes.
Man you really know how to take videos man...I meant it. Your work is simply amazing. Usually I'm just jamming away and don't leave comments, but after watching this I had to leave one. So as always thank you for what you do man!! You rock
30 years seems so long ago, yet it went by really fast. Nice to step off and spend some time with Phish. Thanks for the holiday treat LL55. MSG run starts in 10 days and @ 1 hour from now! :)
Thank you so much, this is so beautiful to listen to while managing a full day of data entry! The exact opposite of what Phish believes, be unique, individual, and creative..... oh well, I'm helping our Soldiers get paid properly, so it's worth it.
And to be sure someone is crunching data for Phish! Not to mention lots of the people following phish are doing nothing practical for society so don't hate on yourself over it. And that's no shot on Phish fans, I'm surely one myself, but talking about 'peace' while getting high and dancing is a bit of a fantasy world when you think of all the people in the world with nothing.
After losing interest in Phish around 2010, I happened to stumble on this video tonight and thought I'd sort of "check back in" with Phish. This has convinced me that they've apparently been killing it recently. After a shaky start, Phish 3.0 is justifying its existence with some excellent improv.
I've probably spent a similar ratio (light bulbs / disposable income) of money:lights for my basement (jam lab) #huelightbulbs they're sweet. can't get good greens and yellows like CK5 tho
