When did irish dancing become a Bible Belt beauty pageant? These kids are phenomenally talented, but I think the wigs and glitter distracts from how amazingly they can dance. Sure even the babies are wearing fake tan, that's just sad.
@@therayshow1919 Its still awful looking terrible fashion sense. And they are too young. If they want to care about fashion at that age fine but show them some guidance. It looks TERRIBLE onstage. It shows the people running these schools have no idea about costume design or stage craft tbh and it lets them down over all. Its GOBSMACKINGLY awful. There are still people making beautiful Irish dance costumes out there ...sadly not here. If young girls wish to wear make up fine. But don't wear crappy make up that brings down the art.And try and produce some kind of standard ...i would ban bad stage make up and all the terrible cheap wigs. If you want to do something do it right. Ballet dancers wear heaps of make up ...but they do it well.
its disgusting that they try to make young girls look like that it doesnt even look good it justs looks wrong and it makes the girls look like absolute clowns.
Good parade but for me the small dancers stole the show.too many kick leg heights but overall the standard was mixed and found it interesting to watch and good luck and thank you all.brian alexander ex dancer north east england.
They wear wigs because years ago on Sunday if someone went to church they would curl their hair and after church dance idk if that's it but that's what I'm told
