    AAMI is Australian Associated Motor Insurers 🙂 The Rhonda and Ketut love story is one of Australia's greatest 🇦🇺🤣 I love the high school reunion one when Rhonda greets the mean girls "Hi Kylie. Hi Dannii". Kylie and Dannii Minogue are two of our most famous exports, especially in the UK. You would definitely know Kylie, but Dannii is pretty famous here too (and more so in Britain). • @grandy2875
      @grandy2875 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      bloody hell, I remember the free milk at school...it was usually delivered some time after 9am and would sit in the - unfrigerated - milk shed until "little lunch" at around 11am... winter time wasn't so bad coz it stayed fairly cold, but summer time it was always just that tad bit too warm but you had to drink it anyway, unless you had a note from your olds...we used to take one of those tall Tupperware cups with a lid and mum would put either choccy or strawberry Quik in it, then we'd pour the milk into the cup, put the lid on and shake like hell to get it to mix through properly, coz the powder'd always form a hard lump in the bottom of the cup... those were the days, these young'uns today don't know what they're missin'... ;))

    The "Not happy Jan" ads created an entire new Aussie saying.
    We often say not happy Jan when something is wrong or as a joke when someone does something.

    Australian commercials from the 80s-2000s are high art. I don't think anyone did commercials better.

    Most of these ads bring back so many memories and I remember them word for word lol.
    Alot of them became Aussie memes or common sayings.

    The worst billboard ad I have seen was at Wynyard train station in Sydney. It contained a whole lot of blurb about illiteracy only to finish off with a direct plea to the reader to call them and make an appointment if they do not know how to ready. I thought I misunderstood it and asked the bloke next me(whom I did not know) to give it a read. I could by the face he made that I had read their advertisement correctly.

    Louie the Fly was created in the 1950s by Bryce Courtenay who wrote the book The Power of One (on which the movie of the same name is based). He worked in Advertising before he started to write books.

    I love drinking milk as is. My uncle was a dairy farmer, so we use to get milk fresh from the dairy. The not Happy Jan ad basically is apart if the Australian vernacular not, when you're not happy with something you go 'NOT HAPPY JAN'.

    Remember, these ads were designed for OZZIES with snippets of OZZIE humour thrown in.
    The ad with Rhonda being cheered on by her workmates, was the result of a series of previous ads.AAMI Australian Automotive Motor Insurance.
    Rheum makes hot water cisterns .
