It is difficult to express how much I love this channel!!! I am very familiar with new HF military radio in Norway!! I have lived in Europe for almost 14 years total! I wish I would have known about Helge’s TH-cam channel back then so that I could visit and shake hands! My love of old mil radio goes back many, many years. 73!
Very nice detailed strip down and repair. Enjoyed seeing the the field test with the other radio equipment. Great filming as always. Happy New Year to you both.
Congrats Helge! What a master piece of electronics and mechanics as well. Those engeneers were brilliant without the help of CAD like we have now today!
Nice restauration, Helge! I restored a Torn.E.b some years ago, it was missing the detent spring on the coil rotor and only had one tube. Got the sprig from Germany. I had to restuff several of the can capacitors, which were leaking badly
the German Braun made about 1960 a multi-band receiver, I think, the "TC1000CD portable radio" with that type of coil switch, like a VHF tube television: the whole block of coils was what moved,
Love the old radios and someone who appreciates them. Working on them and getting them back to working order is a labour of love. Thanks for sharing. de VE5EE
Yes, this is strange. They had fantastically fine plastic insulation on the wires. Look at English radio from the same time. There is more bulky textile insulation.

Always great to see your next video Helge. Those Germans really knew how to make a radio !!
Так и в СССР умели делать приёмники, например Р-250М2, тоже качественно.
Nice repair and restauration of the Berta. Thank you very much Helge.

Great job...were these radios still in use with the Post War German Army?
