First of all, how old is the child in question? Because I wanted to conduct a genotype test for my 4 months old daughter but I was told that a genotype test cannot be conducted on her until at least 6 months but I should wait for 1 year for a more authentic result. I went online to do my research and 6 months was the when they said a genotype test can be carried out on a child. My take, if the child is less than 6 months - 1 year old, the result might be incorrect. Give it some time, then the test can be re-conducted. Peace!
It's not possible scientifically speaking. You and your wife can repeat your own genotype tests at different hospitals. If you still get AA for both of you ask your wife to be as honest as possible with you, if she is sure she didn't do anything, the hospital she gave birth in must be investigated. I hope this helps
It is impossible; perhaps your wife lied to you about her AA status, or you are unaware of your genotype. You and your wife should both undergo genotype testing to determine whether or not you are truly AA. Medically speaking, it is impossible to have an AS child if both parents are AA.
Nah your child oga Whether AS or SS nah your child e be It happens especially with second wife's I have seen where it happened. The man wanted to chase the woman away but kindred no gree because he carried his two left legs to marry her So boss leave that genotype it's nothing. Your child is your child as far as you don do something for him mama head Congratulations once again boss
NO!! It's NOT POSSIBLE No, two parents with an AA genotype cannot have an AS child: Explanation Parents with an AA genotype have two normal hemoglobin alleles (A) and are not carriers of the sickle cell allele (S). This means they cannot pass on the S allele to their children.
You said your second wife? What happened to your first wife? Me I want to be neutral, because you did not give information about the first wife, let me reserve my comment.
You and your wife should recheck your genotype in a good hospital or lab. Then Recheck your baby's genotype again. It's actually not possible for both parents whose genotype are AA to have AS child except na miracle 😂.... but this type no be miracle 😅
You and your wife should reconfirm your genotype in the both lab you did for your son. If it remains the same, conduct paternal and maternal DNA to ascertain if the child is truly yours. You take it up from there. The results will push for further investigation and findings.
The answer is capital NO where did the s came from brother go to DNA test and have the final answer ok the earlier the better and next time don't ask what you don't suppose to ask
This is not the best place to seek for advice, please seek your answers from the medical practitioners and not social media validation. You did not consult for social media advice or validation when you impregnated your woman nor when you registered her for antenatal or during delivery so why when you discovered genotype error you come to the social media medical practitioners for answers Abeg receive sense everything shouldn't be content.
No no, something is not right. AA +AA = AA, AA+AS=either AA or AS As +AS =AA or AS or SS If you have AA allele and your wife has AA allele, you will have children that bears the same genotype of AA. For any of your children to have S allele, must be from either the mother or the Father. AA parent cannot have AS children period. Am suggesting that you and your wife both your child should go to a very good lab, St. Nicolas is good if you are in Lagos or any other good lab to repeat the genotype.
Is not possible Sir if both of you are AA,,, Except if any of you is AS .. So this demands you and your wife should repeat the Genotype again,,,and also a DNA too Sir 🙏🙏
In genetics, the ABO blood type system is determined by a single gene with three alleles: A, B, and O. - AA and AO genotypes result in A blood type - BB and BO genotypes result in B blood type - AB genotype results in AB blood type - OO genotype results in O blood type Now, let's consider the question: Can AA parents give birth to an AS child? The answer is no. Here's why: - AA parents can only pass on A alleles to their offspring. - Since neither parent has an S allele (which isn't a valid allele in the ABO blood type system anyway), they cannot pass it on to their child. - The child can only inherit A alleles from the parents, resulting in an AA or AO genotype, and therefore, A or O blood type. So, AA parents cannot give birth to an AS child.
Instead of asking doctor you decided to bring it to social media simply because you want engagement. You no get sense I swear
You and your partner can repeat the genotype test in another hospital.
The baby is not yours,,ask you wife very well, and love she will open up to you,,,thank,,

May be the baby was swapped during birth. Please go for DNA
Capital NO is not possible at all
That can't be possible mama Uka
Cure your curiosity by DNA

AA parents can never give birth to As, something is wrong somewhere
Am AA and my hubby is AA too so all our children are AA the three of them
Go and carry out DNA oga
It's not possible, i smell foul play
Nah your child oga
Whether AS or SS nah your child e be

No sir is not possible something is wrong somewhere.👌👌
That can't be possible
It's not possible
Again go for DNA
NO!! It's NOT POSSIBLE
No, two parents with an AA genotype cannot have an AS child:
Explanation

Take the child some where
Go and check very well take your blood and the childs blood do your DNA IF THE CHILD IS YOURS
To have an AS child, at least one parent needs to carry the S allele (AS genotype) which is not possible if both parents are AA .
You said your second wife? What happened to your first wife? Me I want to be neutral, because you did not give information about the first wife, let me reserve my comment.

Either one of the parents is a carrier(AS) or the child is not yours.
Impossible

Is impossible. Your wife might be AS but you can go and redo the genotype between you amd your family? Or the child is not yours
No no, something is not right. AA +AA = AA,

Oga no be your baby
Brother it is impossible go for am DNA test for that child 🙏
It's not possible
That child is not yours go. For DNA test
No Ooo I think the baby is not yours
Is not possible, go for DNA
What is going on here?
Please go for DNA test
No that not possible but try another hospital and check again. Mistakes happens . please take it easy
Or to free your mind go for DNA. All the best
You both should go and repeat genotype type
No
No sir is not possible
Yes it can
Is impossible
It's possible man... It can be inherited
Please my brother go alone a DNA test thank you
Yes, it is possible. I and my husband are AA but one of our children is AS.
Where did the S gene came from?
Is not possible Sir if both of you are AA,,, Except if any of you is AS .. So this demands you and your wife should repeat the Genotype again,,,and also a DNA too Sir 🙏🙏

Both you and your wife my do a DNA test on the baby to see if he was not switched at birth
May be the baby was swapped during birth. Please go for DNA
