- Cops spot a suspicious vehicle that has evaded a check point and the cop car. The officers engage in a police chase and later find a drunk driver with deadly guns in his vehicle. Elsewhere, officers conduct a traffic stop and find drugs hidden in an uncomfortable place. Meanwhile, a seemingly drunk driver is actually sober but his diabetes and lack of medication has caused him to dangerously drive.
Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.

That's the first thing I thought after the officer said no odor of alcohol. I had a friend with barely controlled diabetes who would have episodes like that older gentleman. It's frightening.
You do emanate a smell. It’s almost a sweet acetone smell( type1 diabetic here) you do feel drunk and sleepy when you’re sugars are too high

I remember it was pretty rare back in the mid 2010’s. It’s a very new phenomenon, for the most part. We never heard any warnings about it back then. Obviously we always had to wear gloves too, but that was more for health reasons, not touching the bags that could have drugs coming through them in and of itself. Ironically the fentanyl epidemic really gained speed the start of COVID. Coincidence? I don’t think so but that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong though, this is just how I remember it.

PLEASE know we appreciate and support LE! Pro Tip to the policy/Sgt who canceled the pursuit: drunk driver and loaded weapons eluding a dui stop is way more dangerous than any 40-60 mph chase. that chickensht admin choice was BS.
Many agencies are not allowed to peruse in city limits anymore. There have been several instances of citizens and law enforcement getting seriously injured in pursuits. It’s probably policy of the agency and not the cop.
@Sunshineannatx I know and agree with you. was why I said "admin" choice. that wasn't 120 mph in Little Rock. that was glacially slow and possible. I get so frustrated with trained intelligent experienced LEOs ON THE GROUND not being trusted to make those impt choices.

That happens to me often. I can never get enough sugar. So any time I feel sick, first thing I do is eat or drink something. Also read my glucose level had it down to 1.8 once (Canadian reader). Apparently a lot of people go into a coma at that reading. Gotta take care of that!

Women, we need to make better choices about the company we keep. She is obviously not an angel but maybe easily influenced. Once the passenger rolled the window up, it was clear to see who the problem would be. We could all see him mouthing something to her. When I was 16 I was out with my BF of a few months & another couple that were his friends. We got pulled over & 1 of them put Dr*gs in my purse & I really didn't know it.Cop didn't search my purse but said he was going to. When we pulled off the guy told me to give him the stuff in my purse.
I made them take me home, broke up with that guy & never talked to him again.
If that cop had looked in my purse I would've really been innocent & it would've ruined my life.

For those who are confused with the sugar measurements used, if you aren't American, they measure mg/dl. In Canadian (and other commonwealth countries) measured in mmol/L. 120 mg/dl is the equivalent of 6 mmol/L. Average should be between 5-8 in mmol/L, 80-130 in mg/dl
mg/dl multiply by .0555 to get mmol, mmol/L multiply by 18 to get mg/dl
300 mg/dl is just over 16 mmol/L

My blood sugar is hell to deal with. I would put on here what mine was one time when I drove to ER. Shouldn't have been driving at all , it was over 900 but people don't believe it . Nurse told I was the highlight number for anyone that had drove and walked into the ER ,947 to be honest. Any one doesn't believe me we will make any kind of bet you want to but records don't lie about it
