Then Vieira and Henry wanted a CL medal, as for Kanu, Lauren, Ljungberg it was time to move on. Sol Campbell time was highly publicised, although he like Henry had a second homecoming years later. Only Gilberto stayed and I reckon he should actually stayed atleast 1 more year as we had young squad especially the midfield in Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb, Rosicky, Diaby and Song.
I can remember Martin keown saying he would drop everything if arsenal called him to help out and he would be the perfect person to help organised and learn the defenders a few things.
