Enjoyed seeing Haynes on a video, I of course have manuals for all but my newest of vehicles and find them great however the TH-cam video approach is also easy to access and often gets turned to prior getting into the manual so it’s good to see you’ve joined the party and furthermore done it in a very Haynes manual format….wonderful….not to mention a more thorough and struggle free process demonstrated than others detailing the same job 👍 Thanks again
Followed the procedure both from this video and in the manual. The fuel filter would not prime using the ignition. That is, no diesel emerging from the pipe connected to the VM port on the filter. Gave up after at least 50 ignition switching on/off. Took the new filter back out and it was empty. Replaced with old filter and am now scratching my head about how to prime the filter. Just seen on TH-cam that ignition priming only works for vehicles from 2009 and earlier? If this is the case any suggestions for priming a 2011 model?

How many mills of diesel do i need to prime the filter?
