Yes. My mom's house has 5 switched outlets on one switch

I want to put 8 outlet’s between 2, 3 way switches.

Using your set up for example, if I wanted that first outlet to be full hot, because we need to make sure the computer and printer don’t get turned off. Would you just wire nut the red together, tuck it in, and then not break the tab?

Shouldn’t you wire the ground first to the switch?

yes, the ground should be hooked to the switch.
