Thanks Rachael for another great vlog xxx
Love your podcast 🩵
I love that green floral but would love it reversed with the polka dots on the inside. And yes, the gingham makes a great liner.
The thing with the basket bags is that I use the heavier weight canvas type fabric on the outside, hence why the green floral needs to be lining 🌸🌸🌸
Your vlogs are so relaxing….thank you for sharing! I have neck issues too and the chiropractor does wonders for me.
Thank you for the lovely vlogs.
I definitely have to watch how I sit when I read & even when I knit sometimes. The weight of your head at certain angles plays a huge roll.
It really helps me to use one of those microwaveable heat packs on my neck/shoulders when I am reading. It keeps the muscles supple & warm & having the extra weight helps me to be aware of my posture 🤗
That’s good idea. I always have a hot water bottle with me in the evenings as well but maybe having it on my back/neck would help too ☺️
Love seeing you prepare your delicious baking in the kitchen! It looks so easy when you do it😁 It motivates me❤
I love to knit and read! What i have learned is to bring my book up to eye height with pillows on my lap, so i am not looking down as much. I have also learned, from an occupational therapist, to slightly tuck my chin so that the back of my neck is lengthened and I am not hunched over. I know it sounds a bit weird but it works!! ❤
I think I’ll have to prop my book up higher. I’ve been trying to hold it at eye height but then of course that’s work for my arm and shoulder 🤦🏼♀️. Oh I was told that about my chin by the chiropractor. But changing the bad posture habits of a lifetime is hard and I forget! Must try harder…
Killing Eve was brilliant, we could'nt wait to see the next episode. You are so talented at coordinating inner and outer fabrics
Great vlog thanks..always enjoyable..I'm in BC🇨🇦..sitting having my Quiche and salad also!..inspired by yourself and Gayna from Tales from Cuckoo Land..as you both made some!..lovely sunny day here too..but also windy with a chill...enjoy your weekend 😁
Oh yes, your yellow gingham mug is so pretty. And I DO think a green one would be perfect for Christmas. The granny square blanket behind you is lovely. I prop my book up on a pillow on my lap. It helps a lot!
You’re such an enabler 😂🫣
My daughter is still reading the Seven Sisters series. She was just mentioning that each book hints that Pa Salt is still alive…she was trying to get me to confirm..lol. I listened to the series on audiobooks from my library until the last one “Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt” came out. The wait list was so long that I purchased the ebook for my kindle. I need to reread it as I really don’t exactly remember.
Cheryl said she would like to buy the actual books to keep in her library as she really loves the history that the author uses in her stories.
I’m struggling with pain in my neck and shoulders, my doctor told me that I could still knit…just don’t look down….lol
Cheryl bought me the Valari support pillow for Mother’s Day…it does help. Perfect to prop my iPad onto while reading books on the kindle app.
I saw the Pa Salt book in the bookshop and it’s huge!!
Have a lovely weekend! Enjoyed your chat! ❤😊
I went over to Audible because holding a book & reading was too painful for my neck & shoulder
The seven sisters are stand alone stories that are lightly linked in the main & can be read in any order but I had to read in Lucinda’s writing recommendation
Killing Eve excellent series two brilliant women leads
Killing Eve was great, glad you’re enjoying it. Have a lovely weekend 😊
Have a lovely weekend Rachel xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Have you tried supporting yourself with a V pillow behind you on your bed when reading? I find it more comfortable than reading sat in a chair 🙂
I haven’t but I’m not sure that would alter the angle of my back and neck enough to help. Think it’s a case of propping the book up so I’m not looking down.
Awwww I just saw my order being packed 😊 Have you thought of putting coffee grounds around your seedlings? Supposed to be a deterrent. Perhaps try a lap tray with a bookrest on it to raise the book a bit. I know I have to be careful with my hand sewing and goldwork for neck problems.
I have tried the coffee grounds - got big bags free from the coffee shops. I’ve tried pretty much everything and found nothing works! (Unless you use nasty slug pellets but I don’t want to do that 🤦🏼♀️).
It is a battle. Perhaps just layer everything you can think of! Copper tape, coffee and beer cups. The garden will smell interesting anyway! 😄😄
@@SewraymeUk have you tried straw or hay around the plants, that worked for me years ago
Thanks Rachel love6video. Yummy yummy baking. Your large baskets are beautiful. Sitting in your garden looks so relaxing. Thank you 😊
One of my favourite cups is from Debbi Moore Designs saying craftiness is happiness with Debbi Moore Designs and being creative is not a hobby it's a way of life.
I enjoy all your gentle vlogs of quiet productivity. The items you make are lovely in such pretty fabric combinations. It is helpful to me to watch your garden and see what is happening or flowering there and planning what l want in the seasons after you , as Australia is in Autumn now.
The Eriginon daisy or Seaside daisy as it’s also known ,we have growing under roses and it’s very robust and cheery. I’m going to try your quiche as it looked delicious. I am enjoying Lucinda Riley and have reserved The first book of The seven sisters on your recommendation.😊X
I started using a pillow under my knees when sitting in bed reading and it does help. I always have tension in my neck, shoulder and back and after searching around, I learnt this trick. Love the vlog again and I need to try the recipe😋
Check out Daith Piercings..my husband had terrible migraines I suggested the piercing and he cut his meds down by 25% by having far fewer and less intense headaches...it worked for him x
I might stay clear of piercings as I’m slightly afraid of needles 🫣😂
Thanks for another vlog . Hope you have a good weekend.
Do you use rooting powder ?I have read the first in the series of the six Tudor queens Katherine Aragon so next week I’ll be downloading the second on it is really good.
I’ve never tried it. I’m more of a ‘let’s have a go and see what happens’ kind of gardener 😂
