Wild Camping with Family - My Baby's First Overnighter In The Forest

- We are celebrating our daughter's birthday today. We also celebrate that we dared to go out doing some wild camping with family. And taking her for the first time to let her sleep under the open sky in a mesh tent. We hiked in the area around a beautiful lake Råslången in Skåne here in south of Sweden.
Of course there were a few extra kilos to carry but we gained many new experiences as parents during this hike. In retrospect, perhaps we would have chosen to stay on the marked paths instead of going off trails that offered sometimes a rather demanding hike.
We found a fantastic place to set up camp. We spent the night in a hammock and in a mesh tent. Cooked good food and enjoyed the silence and the sound of the living fire.
The daughter thrived among the pine cones and leaves. She quickly settled down in the tent and slept well all night long. So happy and grateful that we got out and could enjoy the beautiful nature together.
If you have experience hiking and spending the night with very young children, please give me some tips along the way. I hope we soon have the opportunity for new adventures together.
