I have a request for a video: why little critter hasn't received a tv adaption. Little critter was a series of kids books by mercer mayer that had a similar vibe to other book series like arthur or the berenstain bears. With the exception of an animated short based on just me and my dad from the 90s, there's never been a tv series based on this character. There was supposed to be an adaption from nelvana that was supposed to come out in the early 2000s but for one reason or another it never came out. Then years later, 9 story entertainment announced they would be making a show with the character but as of now that also never came to be. I'm making this request because i believe little critter is an underrated book character and would like see something new with him in the future. Please reply back whenever you can to let me know if the video is possible. Thanks in advance!
I still remember seeing either Lord or Miller's tweet mentioning that they weren't allowed to submit LEGO Movie for Best Original Screenplay solely because of how major a character Batman was.
Here is Chris Miller's full tweet: "FUN FACT: In 2014, the Academy deemed THE LEGO MOVIE an adapted screenplay even though we had already won the National Board of Review Best Original Screenplay award - because it was based on LEGO bricks and had a LEGO version of Batman as a character." He wrote that in response to the revelation of Barbie being moved to the adapted screenplay category at the Oscars. It makes me wonder if "Toy Story" was released today, would the Academy would have placed it under the adapted screenplay category due to pre-existing toys like Mr Potato Head and Slinky Dog playing significant roles in the movie?
I'm surprised you never mentioned Full Metal Jacket in this!
Any plans for Talking about the history of Magnolia Pictures, Focus Features and Paramount Vantage?
its still burns me that a beautiful day in the neighborhood wasn't nominated for this category I mean it was perfect for it
